I just wanna know you all can do it?! I've seen some people do 24mg or higher. How is that possible? When I switched to sub ohm a month ago I had to drop my nic from 12 to 6 cause the throat hit was way too much and gave me a huge buzz. Now I'm starting to use 3mg cause even 6mg can be a bit much for me sometimes now.

@Skold sounds like that shop is just making stuff up.

At first sub ohming 12mg was like vaping shards of glass. But as you become accustomed to sub ohming it is no big deal with good nicotine. It will still get me nic sick in a hurry, but the throat hit is now tolerable. This is what i test all new nicotines I purchase, 12mg gives me a really good idea of flavor and overall smoothness of a nicotine.

To answer the OP's question....generally the vaper will build or buy a coil that is below 1 ohm. They will then either fill the tank or drip directly onto the coils using their juice of choice...even if it is high nic juice. Here comes the tricky part....they then vape at their desired power setting .

I smoked Marlboro Lights.....I felt the same way about the Camel no filter dudes.
