How can you tell if your are vaping with or without Nicotine?

This may be a silly question but bare with me and you will see why I am asking - I also did a forum search but could not find a thread about this. If there is please let me know


I just started vaping and live in Canada and keep reading that nicotine juice, prefill and anything that has it, could be seized at custom. So my question is

Is there a way I can tell if the products I ordered with nicotine actually does contain nicotine in it as I ordered once I receive them? Like is there a difference in taste between nic and no nic? For example if I order one carto with nic and one with none and both are in the same flavour. Will I be able to tell the difference? Are the carto marked?

The one with nic should have more throat hit. Also, what mg are we talking about (in the one with nic)?

Okay, so you should be able to tell a difference in the throat hit with 16mg.

I've never seen a prefilled carto marked, but I don't often see them, the juice in bottles has always been marked, in my experience. Good luck, I hope your juice gets to you!

I don't think any vendor would send a bunch of unmarked cartos with different nic levels.
Worst case is that they'll be separated in different plastic bags when you get them and it'll be up to you to keep them separate. They could even be different colors.

If you mix them up, you can tell by the taste. Nicotine has a peppery taste.

Or, just vape one and if you aren't climbing the walls and having a nicotine fit, that's the one with the nic in it.

My husband uses 24mg, and I use 9-12 or none at all. I found that his has a burning kind of feel, an inhalation version of pepper's feeling, though no real taste difference. You can most definitely feel the nic if comparing to low- no- nic. I hope you have some luck getting your juice, but I have my doubts about importing from out of country. I have been ordering pre-mixed juices from within the country fairly well though.

I would assume that it would be similar to not using enough nic. You find yourself vaping like a fiend and you aren't satisfied. Sometimes the 12 I usually use does that to me and it's time for a few drops of higher nic.

I'm not a smoker, I simply have fun smoking it and I don't want to become addicted to nicotine. How can I tell if my e cig has nicotine or not? It might show up like too much nic does but, that's not guaranteed. Kinds dizzy, headachy, nauseous. I wouldn't be playing around with this if I were you. It's a great way to become addicted.

I have tried Metro (Nikoteck) cartomizers from the States and they are marked across the battery end; T 1.8 or M 1.8 to designate the flavor (only 2) Traditional (tobacco) or Menthol and the strength.

I assume other pre-filled cartos would be marked to differentiate the strength or flavor.

Since you bought it in Canada, where cartos with nicotine are not allowed for sale, and the person said there was no nicotine, and the package doesn't mention nicotine or strength, I would assume that it has no nicotine.

However;

Vaping is harm reduction for chronic (long term) smokers who have tried other methods to quit smoking and have not been successful.

For non-smokers it would be an increase in harm, even without nicotine.

It's probably the same thing I've been seeing at Mac's convenience stores in Alberta, manufactured by Smoke NV Inc. Two flavours - "tobacco" (I use this very loosely as it tastes terrible) and menthol. Nicotine free.
