So I'm new to vaping and want to know how to tell if I'm getting enough nic. I smoked marb reds but haven't touched them in 3 days so I feel like I'm getting nicotine, but how can I be sure? I don't get a head rush like I'm used to.

My cartomizers are 1.8mg

Nicotine absorbtion is slower with vaping, more levelled, less spiked. It seems not to be related to 'freebase'; I think it down to the carrier, which in vaping is a liquid (as mist/fine droplets). Probably slowest with VG, though I haven't proved it. This is not a bad thing.

24mg nicotine strength is the most common strength used especially for someone who smoked full flavor cigarettes. But many people use 18mg strength also. Let your body tell you. If you feel you need more, kick it up to 24mg and see how it goes. You can always go back down. There are many who either start out or still vape 36mg strength eliquid.

Simply put: If you're vaping juice with nicotine in it, you're getting nicotine. Most of the nicotine you vape is absorbed in your mouth, there's really no way to not get nicotine. If you feel like you're getting nicotine you will be fine. I smoked lights and I've switched back and forth between 18mg, 24mg, 36mg, even 9mg and 12mg, but I've always been content. I may vape more a lower nicotine levels, but it's definitely still there.

...yep, if you vape, you are getting nic...I smoked lite cigs and started with 12mg...not enough, so I went upto 16-18mg and like it, I can chain vape to my hearts content...tried 24mg and got a buzz of off just a few vapes...would vape a few, put the PV down and pick up later and vape more...the higher mg allowed me to vape more like smoking the funkarettes but the lower nic allowed me to chain vape without worrying about getting to much nic and just enjoy the flavor and hit.........

I have wondered about this same question. How much nicotine are you getting with each inhale is also a question that I have been wondering about.

The unfortunate answer to that question is: There is no way to tell. Each user draws differently; some a lot, some little, some in between. 18mg strength ejuice is 18mg per ml. So, if you vape 3ml a day (which is what I tend to use), then you've netted yourself a total of 54mg of nicotine for the day. Breaking it down to how much nicotine per inhale would require you to count each and every single drag you take to use up that ml of juice. "How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?" The world may never know.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I'm able to casually puff on the thing for a good 5 minutes before I feel overwhelmed and put it down so it must be doing the trick. I'm vaping every hour or so and my first cartomizer from Friday is still kicking. I am amazed!!!:vapor:

4 days on one cartomizer ?! I;m amazed too ;)

Most people would have got through ten o rmore in that time !
