How did my new coil in my smok alien burn already

I was told that a new coil on the smok alien should last at least two weeks, that's what they told me at THE VAPE SHOP in Phoenix. However I was vaping a Max VG vape juice called FRYD, kept my voltage pretty low and primed before hits but for some reason my coil is tasting burnt any suggestions?

Highly flavored & especially sweetened liquids tend to gunk coils rapidly.
When the caramelized goo gets hot enough to vaporize it tastes odd, off funky or burnt.
If you like sweet goopy liquids be prepared for short head life or use an RBA of some sort.

I laughed pretty hard when I read max VG and the juice was named fryd. Kind of ironic.

I just went to look at Fryd's website and yes those are sweet juices for sure and like Elvis says are going to gunk up your coils pretty quick. However there is a difference between coil gunk taste and burnt cotton taste, the latter being horrible and shows up quickly while the former is a more slowly developing degradation in the original taste. Which one are you experiencing?
