How do I build a 2.0 ohm coil?

Hi all I am sure this question is getting old but I have been researching and trying to build a 2.0 coil for my Kanger products.
I have 28 gauge A1 Kanthal and 30.
What drill bit or other item do I wrap it on and how many wraps please...
I love to build but not planning to rule the world one cloud at a time. Just a little ole lady wanting to quit the analogs.

Even little old ladies from Indiana should have a way to test the coils they build.
A multi-meter or device that can read ohms.

28g might be a bit hard to get 2 ohm coil into a Kanger head while 30g would work but it would be tight. I suggest doing a google search for "steam engine coil calculator" and playing with it for awhile. It will give you all the information you need to get a head start on building the 2 ohm coil you desire.

I do Boiler took me a few weeks to learn about volts ohms and watts and I am still a work in progress. I get a good reading and then by the time I have installed it I am back down to sub ohm...

I do 9 wraps on a 1/16th bit to get about 2 ohms using 30 ga. and have no problems fitting it. Make sure you test with a meter or your mod before using. Steam engine is good. You should download it.

I would strongly recommend some way of reading resistance, either with a standalone "coil tester", a multimeter, or a mod that can read resistance.

As I posted in another thread, even though my coils usually check out within a tenth or two of my calculations, I wouldn't use it without testing, it's not worth taking a chance on. Mistakes do happen.

And if I can veer off on a tangent, I really don't like the YouTube folks that wrap a coil and give the "I've done so many of these, I know it's going to be around "XX" ohms.

Wow gang you've all got some great stuff! : ) I just got back from Steam Engine and yes it is wonderful. I completely agree with all of you safety first... blowing clouds... close second! I am thinking some tutoring is in order, one is never to old to learn! ; )

I second the recommendation for an ohm-reader. Plus it's very handy to use as a building base.

Didn't think about it but a micro coil would fit easily. Do you do a micro coil? I do Protank coils with a bolt to evenly space the wraps and therefore it would be a bit tight so I use 32g. And yes testing the coil with an ohm meter is essential but I didn't mention it because I assumed she already had a method to test the coil.

I build 2 ohm coils in kanger heads with 32g, 4 wraps on a 5/64 drill bit. Works great for me.
