Hiya folks,

I've got a few ce2's that I've used for a little while that have nutty/tobacco flavors pretty much ingrained into their dna. I'd like to use a couple of these for minty/fruity flavors but I don't want to have to vape through a couple fills of "mixed flavor."

Here's what I already do. With my Storm tank and clearo's I take the guts out of the casing, rinse the wick under hot water for 1-2 minutes, pat it down with a paper towel and dry burn it until the coil is clean. With the metal cased ce2 carto's I cannot get the metal shell off, so I give them a regular carto flush, let them dry overnight and then dry burn the gunk off of the coil.

Here's what I can't do at the moment. I can't use pure PG because I don't have any, nor can I get my hands on PGA in the state of Ohio.

I do have white vinegar, Hydrogen peroxide, the ability to boil water, you know, the usual. If anyone has any tips, tricks, hints, or sure-fire methods of getting the old flavor OUT, I'd really appreciate it.

Without PGA, I can't help you. I'd suggest injecting and suctioning that a couple of times and letting them dry, but, alas, you're in the God-forsaken state of Ohio. I lived in Columbus from 02-10. I hate Ohio. Sorry. Maybe try injecting isopropyl and suctioning to give a triple-rinse, then follow that with boiling-hot water. I'd allow quite a while for drying to prevent getting juice mixed with isopropyl... blech!

The closest you can get in Ohio is Galen's 151 proof vodka - charcoal filtered, unflavored, uncolored and @$12/fifth. I use it for cleaning attys and you can use it in cartomizers. It dries quick and is for human consumption unlike isopropyl and hydrogen peroxide.

Have you tried any lower proof? I was told they don't sell 151 in the Granite State -- Live free of 151 or die.

Sorry for the imposition Secti0n31.

Well - I'd just get the highest proof available - the thing is that the higher proof dries fast - any will dissolve the gunk - just take more time...
