How do I edit the title of a thread I started?

I noticed a typo that I want to correct.

You can't. A mod can do it for you, if you think it's important enough to bother them with it.

It is my understanding you can do it when you go into to edit mode and then go to the "advanced" tab. I've done it before. But maybe that will only work if you do it shortly after starting the new thread.

Ok. How do I delete a whole post then? Is that possible? Not really a huge deal. I just don't want people thinking I don't know how to spell battery. lol

Post or thread? If just a post simply go to "edit post" and delete everything. You'll have to replace it with something but just put someting like ".....deleted post"

Now If you are talking about the whole thread then you will have to ask a moderator to do that.

I'm glad to see post #3. I stand corrected. There have been several times I wished to edit a title and didn't find the solution. Plus, I'd been given the same bad info I just passed out. Boo me.

@champions: So glad to know there are a few people who even give a hoot about spelling any more. Way too many people have the attitude that, "Well, if they know what I meant, that's all that matters." And, I think that sucks. Bravo for not being one of them, LOL

That's good to know. Thanks. Many times I've wanted to edit the title of a post but didn't think it was possible.
