I did try that already but I couldn't find anything to message the person. Is it because I just activated my account on here maybe?

click on their picture then select start a conversation - might be that you need a certain number of posts - i think you become a full member at 5 and the eligibility activates once an hour.

Once you have full access, click a user's profile and hit Start Conversation. Also, moving to Site Feedback and Help.

The sending a message part was answered, but yes every time you reply to someone on here it is considered a post. You have 4 posts now. For example, if you typed "Thanks" or something as a reply to this message, that would be considered a post. I can't remember when the server resets, I believe it's towards the beginning of each hour.

New members are unable to send Conversations. Once you've made your 5 posts and your account updates, that restriction is lifted.

Also know that in profile>preferences/contacts/privacy, a person can choose to not have 'conversations', (or limit them to only 'followers'), although that is rare.
