How do you build your TOBH?

So I just got my TOBH yesterday, i like it and I dont. Dig the drip well and overall design but I find building a "typical" horizontal coil with two wick tails in the well gives me reduced vapor...muted flavor...and anything more than 6 or 7 drops when dripping oozes out of the air holes. I rebuilt this morning with a 5/64ths micro coil 7 wrap (2 coils) for 0.6 ohms. I angled the coils into the drip well and am using only one wick tail in the well, the upwards end is trimmed about 1.5mm past the coil. So far its great but a pain in the ... to rewick! What have you guys found optimal to build on your TOBH's?

Ive come to the conclusion this EHPro TOBH clone is just junk. I like the design, ginna try and find an authentic. I tossed it in the trash after building a dual vertical setup @ .5ohms total. When i was pulsing to pinch the coils it was hissing hard and minor smoke coming from center post...figured eh maybe leftover juice/water. Nope..soon as i wicked it and vaped it i had an immediate plastic/rubber like taste.

I wonder if they cloned it too hastily. The authentic TOBH hasn't really been available all that long I don't think.

Im a single coil guy.
I have a single parallel coil. I place it as close as possible to the air holes.

I dont have pix but it is oriented so the coil is equidistant to the airholes through its length.

It would def be much better if those accursed tabs werent in the way. Easier to wick anyways..

Flavor is good. Almost as good as my Magma.

Vapor production is good too, for a single coil anyways, but like most stock devices it could be better with larger and or more airholes.

I have the tobecco version and these builds I posted have done very well. I find that parallels seem to be a personal favorite, and parallel sleeper if I can. I've recently learned that wicking is a REALLY large percentage of your vaping experience, so I'm exploring more of that aspect now. I've had coils that really rocked, changed the wick in a rush, then was disappointed until I put more strategy into another re - wicking. Lol! Deedupdex has shown us by his creativity that you can make just about anything burn some juice, but if you can't wick it appropriately, you can kill your optimism pretty fast..

Yup, learned that recently myself. To me, wicking is probably the most critical and difficult part to get right with any build.

Yuppers! Now I haven't done any vertical builds on it yet, I am thinking a 26g dual parallel vertical setup. I still have the tabs on mine, just haven't had the time to take it to the shop to have em dremmeled off this week. I'm thinking that due to those tabs, my horizontal builds are lacking just a tad because of some slight airflow issues. I have an extra 3mm hole drilled over the stock holes on each side, but this doesn't help much if part of those coils is hidden behind those little tabs.. If I can get better coil placement over those air holes, I can get better results from most of my builds, being that they are usually .12 and lower. Vertical coils I believe, may be my solution here!

Cyclone? Do you mean Cyclops? Or is there some other way of cutting the holes that I am not familiar with?

This isn't my photo (I'd like to have that setup though) but I think this is what he meant by cyclone.

I ended up taking a dremel to slot mine though and it definitely gave more a ton more airflow wide open, and the ability to more finely adjust it using the AFC tabs. I've never tried any center post builds, maybe if I'm feeling like tinkering one night I'll get those tabs out of the way

Yeah, ok. I've seen that before and I believe you are correct that that is what he meant.

I understand now. Thanks!

Yup that's what i meant!¡ i think it would be to much for me i don't go below .2
