How do you check your atty?

So ive heard about ohm etc but what is the actual meter called, where can you buy it, how do you check it?? What kind of reading should you check for? Seems like that would be a fast easy way to know if you have d.o.a.'s without having to juice them all up as soon as you get them..

I look at me e-cig. if the atty is still there I continue vaping...........

thanks wireguy i've been looking for that post but couldnt find it. anybody recommend any certain kind? I googled it, and apparently there are different kinds. do I just need one with a red and black wire to it? would this work? Amazon.com: Sunpro CP8215 StyleLine Voltmeter - Black Dial: Automotive
