I have the worst time with the menthol crystals. They are so lightweight the are hard for me to figure out. I have been buying my DIY menthol flavor already mixed in pg and know exactly how much of it to use for my liking. In a pre mixed flavor I use .25 ml but I can't seem to get it right with the crystals.
Any help would be appreciated.

between here and there
none of mine ever came with a little spoon
I thought you would measure using a tsp or smaller. Look up a conversion table for tsp to mil. If the solution is 10% menthol than means its 1 part crystals to 9 parts pg.
1 US tsp is just shy of 5 mls. This will make a strong solution in a 30ml bottle so maybe use half of what you were using from vendor bought? Or just measure 1/2 tsp for your solution?
Just my 2 pennies.

What volume of bottle? 10ml?

Well I made 30 mls total in a 50 ml bottle. Warmed my pg for 5 seconds in the microwave and shook the heck out of it until the crystals dissolved. I didn't crush them or anything just funneled them into the bottle and poured the warm PG over the top.

Super clean, crisp menthol!

I am mixing .25 pg menthol flavor to a 15 ml bottle.

When I do Make a big batch I use a 220 ml bottle, but If I can get the 15 ml bottle the right light flavor I can figure out what I need for the 220 ml bottle.

I don't heat in the microwave. I use a Glass Ball Jar and a small crock pot.

Then I have a dual drum rock tumbler to put the glass jar in with padding around it,and then let that shake things up for a little while.

I have a feeling that I am going to have to cut my menthol flavoring down to a few drops instead of a mls the next time I mix up some of my favorite menthol. :D I had never worked with crystals and was to lazy to search for the best way to mix and how much of the crystal powder I needed. I just crushed some of the crystals, dumped them into a 60 ml bottle. It was about 3/4 full. I filled the bottle with pg and just shook it until the crystals were dissolved. They dissolved pretty quickly even though I didn't warm the pg first.

the bottle was 3/4 filled with crystals????? If so way way way to much and I would be very surprised that they completely desolved.

you want to make a 10% solution

10% crystal and 90% PG

At that percent your exhaling frost not vaper:)

If you have it in a plastic bottle at that percentage hopfully it won't desolve the bottle.

Surprisingly they have all dissolved. It is in glass, I transfer all of my flavorings to glass if they come in plastic. Since this is my flavoring not ready to vape e-liquid I am thinking I will just have to adjust my recipe to compensate for it being so strong.

take a 10 ml syringe pull the plunger and fill it to the 1 ml mark with crystal. Dump that into a bottle then add 9 ml of pg to the bottle and shake well. Very simple.

Thankyou. That sounds like a good starting point.

You´d be surprised how much Menthol you can dissolve in PG.
I made my first batch of DIY Menthol last weekend. First I put some Menthol in a glass bottle, big crystals, filled about 1/3 of the bottle. Then I poured some PG in it so that it just about covered the crystals. After half an hour everything was dissolved.
As I want a concentrate, not a ready to vape juice, I kept throwing more crystals in to the point where they weren't even covered by the liquid. If it wouldn't dissolve, I´d just throw some more PG in, I thought.
No need though, a day later all of it was gone.

Also, there is no heating required, just wait for a day.

So that's a possibility here; just make a larger batch of concentrated Menthol and go from there. After a couple of tries you´ll have figured out how many drops per 100mL juice (or whatever your batch size is) you like. Thats what I am going to do. Just start low, haha. Adding some more drops of Menthol is done quickly and Menthol also doesn't need any steeping.
