My idiot BIL forgot he had left his dog inside his truck one day this week, and the dog is dead now....it is extremely hot here this summer; this morning it was 85 degrees at 8 a.m.
My heart is breaking at what that poor dog (a beautiful golden retriever)went through. :(
I know mistakes happen & people get distracted, but.....

I know he's your BIL and all, but I'd be on the phone to the cops in a heartbeat! And, I wouldn't care HOW sorry he is!

Big ((((hug)))) to you and a HUGE (((kick in the jollies)))) for HIM.

Poor BABY!!

He is remorseful, there is no doubt about that. But I cannot stop thinking about the torture that dog must have gone through. (And I just found out that he has already replaced the dog with a new puppy. Then I get mad at myself for being upset over that too). @Domino: he was just getting home while listening to a call-in show on the radio; he jumped out and ran inside to phone the station, then was put on hold for a very long time. :(
The dog was not dead when he remembered him, but too much damage had been done by the time he got the dog to the vet, and the dog died overnight.
