Depending on the "era" the GGTS was produced, some can be removed by hand but most recent are tightened down fairly tight per customer request.

The use of a 10mm sockedt to remove it from the tube prevents scarring of any parts. Similarly, the 5mm socket to secure the contact post nut does the same. There is a vcideo that Imeo shows how to re-tighten the button in the tube so that for future removals, no tools but hands will be required.

I am just today getting the access to re-organize the Intructional Video thread so things will be easy to find. :)

Keep the 5mm hexagon with pliers and use a 10mm socket for the head of the button wig. Its very easy like this
I can't do it!!! I have two GGTS and both have the hex buttons (one is a nickel GGTS from 2011 (Ibelieve) and the other is the new SS GGTS from this summer)

I understand now thanks guys. I don't have a 10 mm socket so I suppose I will buy one

Well worth the investment Wigglr! I had the 10mm but not the 5mm. After gaffing the nickle plating on the 5mm contact, I found real quick that a 5mm is much cheaper than a $25 US button replacement! ;)
