LOL, ya, I can't always take monster lung hits. In fact, I vape very close to how I smoked; mouth draw, inhale, then exhale. Long lung hits usually end up scorching the back of my throat at times, and I'm typically dripping at 6mg of nicotine.

That's how I felt for the longest time. Once I found my right combo of nic, airflow, ohm's I was able to start ripping lung hit's all day.

When I started vaping from smoking if I took a straight lung hit i'd cough. As a result, I would draw into the mouth until I felt it at they back of my throat then inhale and hold for a second and exhale. Didn't cough that way. As a result, it is now habit. That said, now that I have been vaping a year, I can take a straight lung hit without coughing. My habit isn't to do that, but I can if I wanted to.:toast:

I draw slowly into the mouth until I can feel it at the back of my tongue, release the fire button, continue to draw for a half second (to clear the chimney/chamber of vapor), inhale quickly, then exhale slowly-ish through mouth and nose to max the flavour.

.... and I never, ever explained how I smoked to anyone in 30 years :)

Usually I do a long draw into my mouth till I feel I can't draw anymore, release the fire button and continue to pull for another second, then inhale into lungs and slow blow out through my mouth / nose. Sometimes I'll do a lung inhale but I can't do it for that long cause it'll make me cough.

How long have you been vaping. I can hold it in my lungs until no smoke comes out. I think they call that "stealth" vaping here.

I'd worry about quitting smoking first then if you want to quit nicotine you can drop the juice mg every few months. You'll hardly notice the drop then. But smoking is way worse than Nicotine. Nicotine is just a stimulant like caffeine. It raises the heart rate and blood pressure which isn't anywhere near as bad as all the crap in cigarettes!!! JMHO:toast:

I smoke pretty much the same way as i would a regular cigarette. then again ive only been vaping a month so its just what im use to. i take a mouth hit. then inhale fullly and exhale. I notice i sometimes get a burnt taste tho when i do it and im not sure what causes it.

sometimes at work when i havent had a vape in awhile ill take a couple big direct lung inhales to get a throat hit. Not sure why i do it like that, i just like the feeling when i havent vaped in an hour or so.

If you have been using the same setup for a month it is probably time to change your coil. They only last 3-4 weeks. The burnt taste (we all know it!!!) is the wick material burning from either being too dry or from a hot spot in the coil. :toast:

I have an RSST with the intake hole drilled out to 5/64". I was and on rare occasion still am a hookah smoker, but I rip crazy lung inhales with my RSST and get crazy vapor with my setup. I use 12mg/nic, and don't get cravings, because I honestly don't really feel the nicotine anymore. Either that or I have a perpetual nicotine buzz because I vape more than I breath haha

I actually have to be concerned about the amount of nicotene I am taking in, nicotene increases clotting factors and I have a hereditary bloodclotting disorder that also increases my risk for clots. I actually had near-fatal pulmonary embolism when I was 21 (bloodclots in lungs). It's one reason I wanted to start vaping, to wean myself off nicotene. But you're right, getting off cigarettes is the first step. Just worried I may be taking in even more nicotene than before.
