I have been trying lots and lots of different liquids these last few months and most of them have been disappointments. One that I hated passionately at first was Halo's voodoo but after 2+ weeks of sitting on the shelf it went from vomit inducing toxic waste to one of my top 3 juices, and I've tried darn near 100 different juices by now. It might even by my number one tied with HHV Shadow, Ahlusion's Cherry Soda and AllAboutVapor's Purple Punch depending on my mood.

I simply cannot afford to keep experimenting with a lot of different juices nor can I afford to keep paying the premium price that Halo demands. My question is to those who have tried HHV Sludge/Gollum and Halo's Voodoo, particularly to those who like Voodoo like I do; how does Sludge compare to Voodoo? Are they similar, is one better than the other? If Sludge is similar to Voodoo I would be much happier paying $40 for 100ml of Sludge and getting 50/50 blend than paying $40 for 60ml of Voodoo in ?/? blend. If Sludge is not better or even if it is, is there another Voodoo clone that is equal or better and cheaper?

I really don't think there could be much comparison.

Sludge is basically a NET that uses plum flavored extracted tobacco, which is basically 2 or 3 flavor notes, whereas Voodoo is a complex mixture of multiple flavors mainly white grape, black currant, cinnamon, vanilla and plum. Very rarely can I actually taste mostly plum in Voodoo -- usually it play in the background, much like the light tobacco base.

Sludge is a sweet plum, whereas Voodoo is a balanced sweetness -- and the flavor profile might change while vaping it, but it never, to me, gets overly sweet, hence making it ADV material.

HHV's liquids, especially the NETs, are good, but they aren't overly complex. Sometimes Serendipity will taste like Legend, sometimes Shadow comes off as Heavenly ARMY, but they stay true to their basic flavorful notes.

It depends what you like about Voodoo, and if you get a heavy plum constantly from it. The only other "tobacco" that came close to the complexity of Halo's Voodoo was H1N1 from Nicoticket. You might find what you're looking for there, if it's a combination of Fruit flavors blended with a skilled hand -- try the Gravity or Betelgese.

Thank you for the well thought out response.

It's hard for me to explain what I like about voodoo so much. I burned though the 7ml's in one weekend and didn't have enough time to really examine it. Voodoo had great TH and vapor sure but the flavor, after having just over 2 weeks to steep, was something that I and my brother-in-law just fell in love with. I cant pick out one flavor I loved nor can I say I like it's complexity for the sake of complexity. I just really like the specific combination of flavors going on in voodoo, the tobacco, the fruit, the spice and how everything blends together so well.

I was so sure I was going to love love midnight apple I got 30ml's of it to try and grabbed small bottles of voodoo and Tribeca to try and boy did I mess up. I loved the voodoo, really liked the Tribeca and hated the midnight apple. The midnight apple has been steeping well over a month now and still just the smell of it makes me want to retch.

I've looked into nicoticket before but their prices aren't much better than halo. You just cant beat HHV with $21 50ml bottles.

This is my only gripe with HHV's juices. I love the 2 that I've tried a lot, Shadow and Legend and want to try heavenly army and Sludge but at least with Shadow and Legend I find myself switching to other flavors throughout the day so I can reset my taste buds. To me, after just a handful of vapes and I cant taste anything anymore, It's not that the flavor changes or goes bad it just mellows out almost into nothing like I'm vaping on a really smooth nice TH an vapor producing flavorless juice. So I either have to put it down for a couple hours or swap out another flavor to "reset" my taste buds. I don't have this problem with almost any other ejuice.

That was something I really liked about voodoo but hate about midnight apple. Voodoo is a great ADV candidate for me because it tastes great every time, all day, even when chain vaping, where as midnight apple just tastes terrible to me all day every time no matter what I put it in whether it be a carto, a clearo or a bdc.
