I was told by my local vape shop that the only difference was the ease of changing out the coils. Instead of having to pack all those wicks of the 30 you just slide in a new metal tube with the 30s. The flavor and the vape is songsed to be equivalent. Alas I have no personal experience with it.

That is inaccurate. It is a redesign of the top cap (now compatible with 510 tips and iClear knuclehead) and the wick unit, which is now very much like a tank carto, but with silica vs polyfill and a true top coil vs an immersed coil setup, a la standard cartos.

The result as I can tell is primarily improved wicking and flavor. The compression of the wicks and/or the dispersion of heat down through the wick shaft seems to allow for a more efficient coil heat to wicking speed ratio. This allows for usage of higher power settings without dry hits or burnt taste, or just less chance of a dry hit in general. I believe the improved flavor is due to silica vs polyfill (always thought silica had a clean taste) and the heat dispersion.

In my experience it is one of the best clearos yet, in fact the only one so far that can consistently handle mid to high voltage plus quick to chain vaping. It performs much like a cartotank (my weapon of choice), but with better flavor. Also less tiltingIf not for PC tank, it would be a revelation.

Even so, kudos to Innokin.

I can only relate my experience with the 30S after a week. It came with my VTR. It was very airy. I was never able to find a sweet vacumm to use. I never had a dry burn that I didn't cause with too high a wattage, but I did get a burnt rubber taste if I sucked without a break as in chain vaping. I have since moved on to Protank 2 style tanks with added aero bases. I haven't given up on the 30S. I believe it can put out a good Vape. After all, someone must have okayed it for market.

So, it will not fit in a carto tank then?
