Honolulu
Hey guys i live in Honolulu and have been following this story close, I used to ride the bus system out here, one of the best in the world! the point of this bill is not generated at people who smell like tobacco, compared to the homeless, ice heads, and smelly european torrists, the stinkiest smoker has nothing on them! granted sometimes people do rank of cigarettes but these people fall into the same category as the practice poor hygeine. Stinky peope on a hot Honolulu bus is fealt by everyone on it, IT IS HORRIBLE, I totally support this bill. I will also say Honolulu is one of the most tolerale places I have ever lived, very democratic is why.
I have had great responses and encounters with people here while vaping, including resturaunt owners, Police, Hospital Staff, and Civilians, Hell i can even vape on the bus

Whilst I really do sympathise with your problem, I can't agree with you. Making people walk because you don't like the way they smell isn't right.

Wow. Do these people have any idea what a slippery slope they are on? As others have said, who is going to decide what is offensive? I find the smell of certain perfumes offensive when everyone around me, it seems, finds the smell pleasant. So whose rights take precedence?

Also, take this example:

To me, one of the most offensive smells is a microwaved frozen fish entree. It stinks up the entire break room at work.

So say I complain loudly until I get what I want: a rule that says you can't microwave fish.

Then someone else finds the smell of BBQ chicken just as offensive. So those meals have to be banned as well. And on it goes.

Pretty soon, no one will be able to bring in any kind of frozen lunch.

I agree with you Gregg, the thought of this is what I find offensive. True is, that certain persons are more sensitive to odors than others, but on the other hand I find humidity on clothes a REALLY offensive smell, yet the person wearing the clothes might be really washed up and not smelling of their clothes... This is tricky indeed!

I dont think anyone understands the degree of stink that some people have out here, I still am in total support of this bill, im not talking about uncomfortable, or unpleasant, its downright painfull, it burns the nostrils, makes you vomit, Literally

it comes off about being about smell, but really it is a health issue, Honolulu has the most diverse ethnicities and cultures in the world, and with that comes all the bugs: TB, Swine Flu, and Micronesians run rampid through are streets, these people can still get on the bus, just go to the beach and take a damn shower first
