I know when I first started I tried everything! But my all time favs were RY4, Chocolate and pear. I have went crazy for almond coco ( almond joy) for a while and peach cobbler. Now it's less sweet and more dark chocolate or even dare I say it tobacco flavors. I have also decided I like the mints and menthols again.
I still have chocolate and RY4 along with pear in my rotation.
Flavor favorites are really weird! And this for a 37 year one flavor analog gal!:p
How have you changed?

when i first started i loved the sweet fruit flavors and candy. But in a short amount of time i started to miss that "grungy" tobacco feeling. Now for my "all day" flavor i stick to the tobacco flavors. Virginia, Kamel, Cowboy are what i have on hand now . . after work its straight to Smilin Special Menthol and then Classic Caramel Mocha Frap before bed lol. I still keep some fun flavors around too like Cherry, Blueberry, Doc Pepper, which i still do enjoy but in smaller doses.

I think its a good idea to keep a mix of flavors to cover the spectrum just in case. When all i had was fruity sweet flavors and no tobacco or any of the deep/rich flavors, I was going insane 8-o

I started out with all tobacco flavors and for some reason started craving chocolate and raspberry, so far I haven't found that taste in any flavors I've tried. I'm a coffee-aholic, but find I can't stand to vape or smell anything that says coffee on it maybe if I found a vape that smells and tastes like the Dunkin Donut blend. I have always hated menthol, but lately I have been experimenting with it. Something I enjoyed last week tastes awful this week seems like my taste buds change on a daily basis.

When hubby and I first decided to try these e-cig things, we (like many new users) wanted to replicate our analog experience as closely as possible. Oddly, my hubby tossed out the idea -- at the last minute -- of adding menthol carts to our order. We were ordering from China, as cheap kits were important due to our lack of confidence in the whole idea. I placed said order and the several-week wait began.

That's when I found this site. I decided, on a whim, to order a few extra flavors from American mixers for our kits: chocolate, orange creme, and something else...

So, our kits finally arrive and we start vaping...wha? Not much flavor of any kind. Yes, we were vaping the empty carts that came on 510s from China! Ha! We vaped that primer stuff for the first couple of hours before figuring it out LOL.

Anyway, so we switch to a "myboro" type of flavor. I only smoked 3 analogs that first day (down from around 30).

The next day we try the menthol: revelation! Neither of us smoked menthol analogs, but WOW, this was great! It really seemed like smoking...but without the nasty!

Two days later I wanted to try the chocolate I'd ordered, but didn't know to change out the filler in the cart. Presto! My personal new favorite chocolate/menthol was born! Yum! By now I'm off the nasty analogs completely.

But, I'm tiring of this constant dripping/filling thing -- plus there was a well-known bad 510 atty run that I was a victim of. So I start looking at other systems...ooh, what's this? V4L seems to be well-loved! And that Smilin flavor sounds pretty familiar.

Ordered kits for us, along with samplers and any cartos that sounded good. Smilin FTW!

Now, I've moved to the new XL batts, the Coolcarts, and...I'm starting to like the sweet stuff. And cinnamon too. Gonna order the cinnamon roll next!

When I started, I quickly discovered that I wasn't a fan of the tobacco flavors - they all tasted like an unlit cigarette to me. But I liked a few of the fruit flavors, particularly pear and cherry, and found that coffee flavors were a satisfying substitute for tobacco. Then I tried a menthol carto and was surprised that I liked it, never having been a menthol smoker, so I ordered some more of those. And I became an instant fan of Smilin' Special Menthol when it came out. Now I use menthol/mint flavors most of the time, and rarely tire of them. A lot of the flavors I started with taste "meh" to me now.

I noticed a thread running through here. We all wanted the same as analog thing at first..how many times have we heard "but what is the closest thing to camel, marl, or virginia slims?" Then we all swung around to fruit flavors and candy flavors..on to beverage flavors and menthols. Now we are back to basic flavors with sweet/menthol on the side!
For some of us it's all about flavor..for others throat hit or vapor. V4L has it's finger on the pulse of vaping it seems..a plethora of flavors, a large range of strenghs and now clouds of vapor!

well i was a menthol smoker and i started out vaping with menthol flavours, i tried them all and there was only one that i didn't really care for... the cappaciuno good, but i'm not into anything fruity.... i will admit the pineapple was very good, but for some reason it doesn't agree with me, i get an upset stomach and i think becuz it's too sweet for me... so i'll be sticking with the different flavours of mint and lets not forget peppermint, it is also one of my top flavours - can't get enough of this one... yummy!!

I've tried many flavors, but I still stick to my Cuban Cigar for an all time go to replacing the French Pipe that I still like. I like the 555 but I feel something was lost in the Prem. carts and had less flavor to me, so I'll try this again when the WOW555 comes out. {I hope soon} I had NEVER been a Menthol analog smoker but got the Cool for a sample and Really Enjoy for a change. Not much for the Fruit flavors like to stick to the more nutty or woodsy Flvrs. such as Turtle candy or Choc. Mac. nut.

Hoping to get Buttered Popcorn someday, Leaford?? Just my :2c:

Great Thread!

MaryKay, I've noticed--after sampling 50+ flavs--that I no longer like sampling too many flavs, I've just grown tired of it! I prefer to stick with a handful of my fav-flavs and occasionally grab one from my stash of 'others' for some late-night variety. But not often.

I've also noticed that I don't need to vape 'tobac' flavs to satisfy my occasional urge for cigs. A flav like chocolate, frapp, or menth works just fine.

And I've noticed one other thing: since I switched to VG cartos, which I didn't particularly like at first, I've grown completely comfortable with the different base taste. In fact, I now prefer it in some ways. I guess we like what we get used to, eh? It may be as simple as that. :2cool:

Well, of course at first I wanted something like my Kools, and I found it! Hehe. I really liked Cool at first when I started vaping. While I like some of the fruit/candy flavours they still weren't a part of the regular rotation; I needed that menthol hit.

Thank You Vaping! It took about 6 weeks but I lost the need to have menthol for it to be satisfying. Now I hardly touch menthol at all and candy/fruit flavours are the standard. However I've been missing the Menthol flavour as of late, but don't miss Cool at all.

Through all of this though, the tobacco flavours still remain lost on me. IA with Pianoguy: the tobacco flavours taste like the tobacco smells in the pack unlit. Bleh, though some were just totally off to me like Cuban Cigar. (IK there's lovers of CC but yikes! don't taste a lick like cuban grown virginian tobacco to me at all! natural or maduro cured.)

Hawaii! Yay haha
Same story here - my first liquids order, I made sure to buy a tobacco clone, but found that I like anything with simple flavors and high nicotine. It gives me the throat hit and the gut-wrenching, hang-on-the-room-is-spinning feel, and I don't need the tobacco flavor!

I go for any simple flavor. Exotic mixes overwhelm my senses. I'll leave the overwhelming to the nicotine :)

My taste buds have changed since I started in March, and the subtle hints of flavor in juices and cartos are more noticeable now. So I can weed out what just won't get vaped and enjoy more about those I liked from the beginning. Like the Smilin' Special Menthol, which I now taste a hint of chocolate mixed in. Sometimes it's more apparent than others, depending on what I've eaten, or medication I'm taking, etc.

I notice in my Spirit of America menthol cartos a taste of salty and sweet flavors. So I'm glad I"ve kept some of those juices around I didn't like because they taste different than they did months ago. And I'm so grateful to the generous members here who send me numerous samplers for free!

I have yet to taste a liquid that actually tastes like a cigarette to me. Especially the tobacco-named flavors. To me they all have tasted like sugary caramel mixes. Not bad, but they don't remind me of tobacco. Even when I smoked menthol cigarettes, I enjoyed a regular flavor now and then, like a Marlboro red, or a Camel.

I also like some fruity, sweet, tart flavors to enjoy at night, while on the computer, sort of like having a dessert after dinner. And all those samplers are great for this. I always keep minimum 3 manual V4L batts charged with different flavors on board, and my 5V unit with a full cartridge nearby. I'm also better able to determine which flavors will work on what voltage and which won't. Most of my prefilled cartos don't taste good on 5V, but most of my liquids are just perfect.

I noticed that having a sweet tooth all my life, it is even worse now without cigarettes! My taste buds are getting better all the time, but so is my need for sugar!
