how is nicotine absorbed?

hey I was taking just mouth hits to try to get rid of the atomizer primer taste and it seemed to me that I got just as much nicotine that way as if I inhaled the vapor.

Could that be right?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here but I do believe the nicotine is absorbed through the skin of the mouth and throat. I'm sure I saw a post here somewhere that made reference to that.

Not 'just as much' but you will absorb through the skin and mucous membranes. That's how the patch, and gum work and chew, snuff, pipes and cigars. That tobacco is fire cured which has a higher nicotine content than cigarette (usually flue cured tobacco). But with ejuice just puffing will sometimes cure the pain ;-) Not always though.
