Rob uses PayPal, but you can set up a free PayPal account with a credit card, and use your credit card. Just don't fall for their stuff about becoming a "confirmed" member and tying your checking account to it.
If PayPal doesn't know my bank account details, they can never take money from there. There have been hundreds of documented large scale hacker attacks and internal security breaches. Not to mention, if they claim that you have violated a TOS ($500 fine), their agreement allows them to take it from any account that is tied to PayPal. It's a lot easier to do a credit card chargeback than recover money debited from a bank account.
mlinky do you mean that it may not be best to have pp linked through debit bank card or that thing where they keep wanting to link directly to my bank? So sorry, i guess i must still be confused.

Your debit card is a potential issue, but most debit cards have limits. Your bank account, though, could be completely wiped out with an electronic transfer.
