I am not familiar with either of those two devices, but what works for each person is based on very individual preference. We all have certain factors that we value most and have found the most useful to continue on our quest of not smoking.

All you NEED is whatever keeps you satisfied enough to not want to smoke :D

I use a Reo + RM2 and it blows my first set up of a VV Winder (eGo style battery) with an eVod out of the water, although I still give that set up huge props because it is how I quit smoking- but I had a lot to learn before I was comfortable using a mechanical device and wrapping my own coils. YMMV :)

I totally agree with this! /\

Hello :) I recommend 650 mah eGo setups a lot to people just starting. They have more battery life than a cig-like, not to huge, and are fairly cheap. When you're getting frustrated, and feel like that setup isn't doing it for you, then it's probably time for an upgrade. Right now I am using a Provari V2.5 at 5volts with a Boge XL 3.0 ohm cartomizer with a glass drip tip :)

I am using v4l Zeus, with dragonmiste-liquid.com piña colada in it, really good vape, easy to use, hits at 5 volts
Compared to my first e-cig vape and this one, it is night and day, one of the major ups on this one is if I'm using it and the battery dies I can plug it in and keep using it as a pass through.

I quit smoking with a cheapo ce4 kit with two ego 650 batteries. Next i got a mini protank and 1100 ego twist for the house, still carried the 650s with me.
Now I have a vamov3 topped with a kanger protank2 for the house and the mini protank on vision vv spinner 650s for out and about.
Both protanks would suck if didnt rebuild my coils.

Im now making my own juice, a vg blend of ry4 and hazelnut at about 14mg. I still havnt nailed down the exact recipe and end up adding flavor, or nic and diluting when needed, but it always comes out good.
Everything is step by step, start small , get bigger and better. I never though id enjoy vaping as much as i do with some decent accessories, homemade juice and a little tinkering.

my current favorite day to do is a kraken tank and nemesis mod. Both clones, both torched to match. My coils stay around .5-.7 in this thing and I tend to build for flavor.
I'm waiting for my brass sentinel. once that comes in I'm thinking the quad coil steam turbine will see more love. it looks wrong on the nemmy, and my pisces has too much voltage drop.

I really like how much you can customize them. I think I'll build a vaporizer from scratch next just for the experience. After that, knowing what I like should be pretty straight forward, I think. And I'm *really* looking forward to making my own juice. That should be a blast. I've always been at least 1 part mad scientist : ]

... What are you using and how do you like it? How does it compare to your first PV?

My first PV was a DSE103. Which was a Forerunner to the RN4081. Fast Forward to Today and I'm using a ProVari.

I'm not sure how Viable it is to Compare a DSE103 to a Provari? It is kinda like Comparing a Candle to a Laser.

Welcome ilsonno, congrats on getting started on stopping. I started with a V2 cig alike. That lasted about two weeks then I moved up to an ego 1100 twist for the variable voltage with a Kanger MT3S. Within a year I had moved to my current set up which is a nemesis clone and an authentic Russian 91%. Mainly because it is compact, durable, dependable, and most importantly consistent. I carry two with me everyday and have had no issues at all. Then I also carry a gripper as a back up to my back up. Again good luck on your journey and welcome to ECF. There are many, many wonderful people here. You will find all the answers to all your questions here.

As others have said, there are lots of good choices and everyone's journey can be unique, both with gear and with juice. I started with eGo-t upgraded batteries and Kanger MT3S clearos. After a couple of months I went with Vision Spinner batteries because I discovered what others here had stated, that each juice can have its own sweet spot.

Then a couple of weeks ago, I got an Innokin itaste mvp2 that I use at home in the evening for the extra battery life. I still use the Vision Spinners during the day and am still using the MT3S clearos.

Each piece of gear I've bought has served its purpose during my 5 months of vaping. I still don't have much of the bug for "new and shiny", but my juice selection has REALLY expanded.

Keep the vape and namaste.
