No one actually knows how big the Universe is (where space & time end). The observable Universe from our vantage way is believed to be about 10 billion light years in radius. However there are many theories.... One being that the Universe expanded very fast with the big bang and only little remained within range of detection. To try to comprehend the actual size is beyond belief. If you compare the total number of grains of sand on earth compared to the number of stars in the Universe it probably wouldn't come close.
