How long can you leave cartos filled before they'll dry out?

Interesting that you ask this. I just tested 2 today that I had filled, then wrapped up and put in a little zip-loc bag, left them for 6 months! In all honesty, I forgot about them and found them this morning when I was looking at some cartos. I meant to only leave them about a month, it was an experiment as I found prefilled cartos were not to my liking, and would blow out fast.

Well, 6 months later they were dry, guess that goes without saying. Grayish in color for the stuffing. They also popped within just a few vapes. Just happy I took a third, but not filled, to work or I would have been very unhappy. YMMV.

interesting. I had about 50 cartos that I would use, set aside uncovered, then refil, repeat.. after a few cycles, wash, fill, repeat.

this went on for about 6 months. all of them left for long periods of time. they all worked fine, but eventually clogged enough that I just opted to buy new ones.

point being, I don't know why the atty inside the carto would just "pop", and stop working, just because it was left, wet or dry.

I guess i'd have to agree, YMMV. :)

I don't know how long e-juice would take to evaporate. I mean, everything will eventually, right? but I don't think a few days or even weeks would ever hurt anything. not a real scientific approach to the subject matter, I know. but anyway, good luck!

Well, I don't have any specific data on the evaporation rate, but it's very slow, slower than the degredation of the nicotine, which is what the expiration dates for our liquids are based on. We wll start putting expiration dates on our cartomizer boxes as well as on our bottles.

Speaking of slow, here's the world's slowest scientific experiment: World's Longest Experiment 85 Years of Dripping Pitch Tar | Geekosystem

You batteries actually made popping noises?

I had a handful that I filled and capped and also forgot about for maybe 4 months or so and I tried one and it was super clogged and the others looked suspicious to me so I just boiled them all and started over. They cleaned up fine -- except for the one I'd used for an experiment with passionflower. I guess I just wonder how far in advance one could reasonably plan to keep a filled stash. It annoys me to have to do it every day.

Leaford, I'm afraid your link is going to make me fall asleep.
