IMR14500 Specification:

Nominal Voltage : 3.7V
Capacity : 600mAH
Lowest Discharge Voltage : 2.50V
Standard Charge : CC/CV ( max. charging rate 1.5A )
Charging cycles : > 500 cycles
Max. continuous discharge rate : 8C
Operating Discharge Temperature : -10 - 60 Degree Celsius
Approx 14.07mm diameter x 48.8mm length

A cycle is from fully charged down to nothing... as long as you're caring for them properly (i.e., not storing them discharged, no extreme hot or cold)... you should get at least 500 cycles!

{edit} sorry CJ I didn't read your whole post so I did repeat some of what you posted.

And better still, don't run them down to cut off. That should give more time in service. ~500 charges probably means from "fully" discharged state. Better to put on charger before the charge is really low. We typically put new one in after about a ml of juice used. And better for battery to store fully charged. Most of the lithium based batteries don't suffer from memory affect so you are not going to shorten the use cycle by routinely putting them on charger when they still have charge to them.

Most of us don't have more than a few months use from our high drain batteries, used with high drain applications like LR attys, so we don't have enough use time to know how many months we'll get from them. It will probably be towards the end of year before loose stats start coming in.

If you don't run them until they're dead than it should last your for a WHILE. That's what I do, I treat them like I do my cellphone battery LOL

If I treated them like I do my cell phone, they'd be in my glove compartment and would get charged up every couple months :p

I do a simple calculation so I know how many YEARS of use I get from my batteries...

I use 3x in rotation (very evenly... I have a system to know who's turn it is in the PV)... it says 500 cycles, but I cut it to 365 (days in a year) GOOD cycles... I use 1 battery per day... since I have 3, the entire set of batteries will last me 3 years. I bought them February 2011... so in Feb 2014, if they havent given me problems yet, it'll be time to buy batteries.

Of course, I have a multi meter as well... and every months or so I'll check my batteries and charger to make sure they're doing their respective jobs...

I'm a bit spoiled with running the 14500's, as soon as they go under 4V I swap mine out, I would need about 7-8 if I only ran my Mini all day, therefor thank you Mr Grand and your 18650 ;-)

Amen... that 18650 is a sex machine... 14500 doesnt even compare... even at full charge!

Even with the battery limitations, I love my Minis best :)

I just bought our second mini for my wife who was tired of her ego-t leaking all over like I warned it would before she bought it. Id feel guilty giving it to anybody at this point.

Q.. Are the AW IMR 14500's from lighthound identical to the AW IMR 14500's from oveready?

Yes. I went from an eGo to my first Mini. You are a great husband. She'll love it. :)
