That would very much depend on how well you take care of them, and how hard you use them, and whether or not they are the right batteries for the job you want them to do. Might be 3 months, could be 3 years. I will say 12 bucks is a bit high, probably, for whatever you got. You can buy really good ones (18650) online for 7-10. What are you using them in, and what kind of batteries are they?

Ok, if it's in a Kbox, it's an 18650. And 300 charges is a good rule of thumb. If it's a Samsung, it's probably a 25R; that's the most popular and wides available. That's a good battery for a Kbox, and so long as you don't treat it mean it ought to have a long life. How often do you recharge it?

Batteries are generally rated for about 300 charges, but the best way to tell is by your own observation. When you notice it's not holding a charge it's time to replace it.

How long a charge lasts depends on your vaping style. Low ohms/high watts vaping will drain the charge more quickly. The mAh listed on the side of the battery is the milliampere hours it's rated for. Technically, 100mAh is roughly equal to 1 hour of use - as in 800mAh would be 8 hours of use, but with the variable power used in vaping it is less. My main rig is a 1.5Ω RTA at 4.4v/13w. I expect to get about 4-5 hours out of an 800mAh 18350 battery.

ETA: I see now that you were asking about an 18650 battery. I still knock off about half the listed mAh. If it's lasts longer I'm happy, if it doesn't, I'm not surprised.

It took about a year - year and a half before I realized my old Sony VTC5 batteries didn't hold a charge for as long as they used to. But a year of almost daily sub-ohm vaping is still a pretty good lifespan for a battery in my opinion.

And yes, the batteries can be recharged for multiple uses. Look for a nice charger and your batteries should last the ~300 cycles that everyone else is talking about

18650 battery. wait you can charge batteries? how
I use a battery charger, and Xtar VC4. The Kbox may have an onboard charger, I don't remember. You have to be charging it; surely you don't go buy a new battery every time it runs down, do you?

Could I get the 7.99 one? would it fit my batteries?

Yes, but it will only charge one battery at a time. My first charger was an Xtar (I don't recall the number, but it only charged two 18350s). It charged my AW 18350 button tops just fine until I got a better one.

if you get a mod that has removable batteries, the batteries are to be charged when they get low.... some decent chargers are Intelicharger, LUC V4, which are perfect for charging the 18650 batteries. In general, batteries ( 18 series) can be charged about 300 times before they start to become "lethargic"... I have 2 VTC4 ( 18650s) that have been in service for 2 yrs now and are still doing well.... depending on your vaping habits, a fully charged battery can last anywhere between a few hours ( low ohm heavy hitting mods) or 2 days ( higher ohm minimal use) before needing to be recharged...
so back to your question... how long before you need to buy another battery? a year sounds about right.... best bet tho is to have 2 of them, that way you always have a charged one on hand.
