I have some cartomizers I got from Altsmoke, and was just curious how long they usually last. Also, how long do the mesh thingys (dont know what they are called) that attach to an atomizer last before you have to throw them away? Thanks!

Sleepybrains, I usually keep cartomizors for a couple of weeks depending on the type of carto of course, I use the same juice in each carto till they start to taste bad or the vapor they produce begins to lessen. As for the polyfill mesh in cartridges, I have cleaned and reused them a bunch. I don't use the cartridges anymore as I usually just drip strait on the atty through a drip tip.

I guess that depends on who you are ,because i use them a couple of days and pitch it but some people use them for months and have all kinds of cleaning methods . I used to clean them and try to keep them going but its a real pain sometimes and cartomizers are pretty cheap plus i just love the taste of a fresh carto .
How long cartomizers or atomizers last is more like a crap shoot. No one can really tell you how long they will last. Atomizers might last for several weeks or months, or they might only last a couple of days. Cartomizers generally won't last as long, but they aren't meant to. Their longevity also depends on whether you take care of them and how you're using them (or abusing them, as some of us do.) Both atomizers and cartomizers are considered "consumable" items. You use them until they don't work anymore and then you give them a proper "trash-can" funeral.
i refill mine 3 times.Then boil them in water for 10 minutes and i might get another 2 refills.Some may bite the dust early

Mysti, What are you using? And from where? I need to make my first carto purchase so I am looking around.
There's far too many variables for anyone to say how long a single cartomizer will last. The Joye 510 carto I'm using right now on my Ego is on its 26th day. BUT I only use it when driving and when out and about where refilling my cart isn't convenient. I've put about 16ml of juice through it so far. At home and at work I use attys/carts which get far more useage than my carto.
Many people who use ikenvape cartomizers, including me, have been getting 3 weeks or more before the production falls off and some have then washed them. I used to use and still have regular cartos but since I've found these I don't use any others. He has them engineered to his specs and they are amazing. The vapor is twice that of other cartos and the flavor and taste is great. The best thing is they last forever. I get more vaping on one of his than I do a box of the other kinds. Some people are getting more time than that but I was just putting my average down.

I thought the draw was crap on the ikenvape mega cartos, WAY too airy, i even tried them on my GGTS with adjustable airflow and they weren't much better. Maybe i got a bad batch ?
Im trying to figure all this out. For two people how many cartos should I buy for a month supply? I am also going to get us a couple of attys and drip tips, but would like this easier option if it is going to work for us.
That is a good amount of time vaping on a 6v. I forgot to mention we are vaping in 650 mah egos.

For my first few months vaping, I used to refill these, now I don't bother. I am saving so much not smoking that when the $1.25 carto is empty after vaping it for 3-4 days, I chuck it in the trash. I've heard reports of them lasting for months of refills and be fine, but they are intended to be disposable, so your mileage will certainly vary.
