How long do e-liquids last?

I'm new and I'm buying a bunch of yummy e-juices with the rest of my paraphernalia and was wondering if e-liquids go bad after a certain period of time. I know they get better in the beginning as each day goes by and they steep but is there ever an expiration date for them?

Some vendors do put 'best if used by' dates on their bottles and I have usually seen them 6 to 12 months out from the date I bought them.

I have a bottle of dekang apple that I got with my first ever Joye 510 ecig three years ago. Sometimes I break it out and vape a little bit of it because I get nostalgic. I'm not sure if it's safe, but it still tastes fine (well, for dekang anyways).

Barring any foreign matter getting in your bottle, and if stored properly, it should last about a year. Your mg might get lower because as you introduce new air to the bottle nic could degrade but I believe it to be minimal. Correct me if I'm wrong, I certainly want to know.

Usually it has a shelf life of 36 months after its production date. If you're unsure I would try calling their customer service and asking what their Best By date reads out on the flavor you are interested in.

I'm sure it can vary by flavor. I have seen a couple of vendors list "use by" dates that are about a year from date of manufacture and one that set expiration almost 2 years out.

Some are bad at the start and remain so until they hit the trash or the exchange bin

Like many others, I have some left from my first go round 3 or 4 years ago. They still smell all right, test all right, and vape like when I got them... (and they are still bad.... probably why it didn't catch then)

it also depends on the bottle. i have a 30ml mr e-liq berry-a-peelin in a plastic bottle that i swear has changed for the worse and seems harsher than 4 months ago. stored in a dark cool cabinet, no UV. im going to toss it, its lil over half full tho. not worth vaping leeched plastic. Berry appealin also turned my black plastic tips white on the bottom where the liq touches, so i know it's attacking plastic. the red vision V3 tank has no frosting good sign.

i'm going to buy some blue bottles and start peeling labels and transferring my liq. i know brown is better but it looks too mediciny to me. no UV anyway in my storage area. also going to use the frig for long term storage. no kids in the house
