I use an M401 which probably doesn't burn as hot as some PV's.
I been
vaping almost 2 months and using my original attys, alternating 2. Every weekend I swish the used one in a jar of vodka (grain alcohol would be better but still an edible substance). I leave it in the alcohol overnight, scoop and flow some of the jar alcohol through it the next day to get out anything dissolved, shake out hard and set to dry on paper towels. The next weekend i switch to that one.
There are some substandard 510 clone no-brand attys around and I think people may have the most trouble with those? No problems here so far.
I also think sometimes new users might overheat their attys because they aren't used to the symptoms of dry cart, needing to reposition their cart stuffing, atty that needs cleaning, and even almost-discharged battery can cause more dragging and get the atty kind of hot. I pay attention to the outside heat of my atty. If it is getting too hot then something is not right. If the juice was flowing to it well then it wouldn't be so hot.
