I love cartomzers but I'd like to be able to get more than two days of use out of one before I have to toss it out. I'm a heavy vaper and I top mine off whenever the flavor starts to diminish, which is numerous times per day. After about a day, no matter which liquid I vape from which company, the cartomzers starts to clog in the center hole. I started using a guitar string per suggestion on this forum to clear the center hole, but sometimes during the end of the second day, the cart clogs frequently and I end up killing the cart somehow trying to unclog it with the guitar string.

I don't see how some people say they've used one cart for a week or even a month. Even if a cart lasts me three days, the filler starts looking black and filthy. If I were even able to get three solid days from a cart, I'd be happy..

So... I really am looking for honest answers here. How long does one cart last you? And if it lasts you a long time, are you a heavy vaper? Finally, do you have any tips to increase the longevity of the cart? I'm vaping with Boge standard resistance carts.

Thanks. Any feedback would be appreciated...

I'd like to add that I take big deep puffs when I vape. I don't know if this has something to do with the cart clogging faster but I assume that the more the cart heats up, the faster it's going to go through liquid and create the black goo that ends up on the guitar string when I try unclogging the center hole. Just throwing out possibilities...

what kind of cartomizers are you using? what is the resistance? I use the boge 1.7 and 2.0 with waffle juice. I can ekk out 3 days but by the end of the third day, my flavor and performance drop but it never clogs up. I also supplement with an atty and a bottom feeder so I'm not using the carto exclusively. If I use KBV warm sugar cookie.. I can get almost a week of good vapage.

I use Boge LR's but mostly Iken Fusions and V2's. It is tough to measure in "days" since everyones juice usage varies. If I get 30 mls through a carto I am happy. That means about 4 days for me. I have found the thicker darker juices are tougher on a carto. My main vape is a 80/20 DIY Cinnamon roll and it is lightly flavored with a slight yellow tint to it and I can easily get 30mls through cartos.

just another thing on consider..what type of juice are u using..and when u top off your cartomizer...do you drip the liquid on the filler or in the center hole..most times when I top off my carto..I drip a couple drops on the filler and give the cartomizer a thermometer shake to push the juice down farther and move the juice around..maybe the juice is just burning up and clogging..

Depends on the carto and has alot to do with the juice. Thinner, liter and less sweet generally means longer vape time.

I vape 2-3ml a day and get about a week on Boge. Longer on the 808 that come with the Volt kit but haven't had it long enough to see just how long yet, really impressed with those so far though. Longest is my clearos with the syringe mod, over 3 months now and with regular cleaning they just keep going and going.

....

I have almost the exact same experience. After about 2 to 3 days the cartomizer just becomes unusable. I've given up on trying to clean out the center hole, killed more than I've saved. The draw becomes so tight and vapor production so low it's just aggravating. EPower using Boge 2.5ohms, Smoketek 2.5'w, and standard 3.0ohm, and just got some CCV 1.7's that are doing hte same thing.

I've tried cleaning, several different ways using alcohol, vinegar, boiling, moonshine. Helps some, but they are never really like new, and the low success rate at cleaning is making it not really worth the effort

The longest I've use a Dual Coil carto was around 2 weeks. I've never had one die or malfunction, but once they get all grimy and gross looking I can't stand it.

I could clean them, but I don't because they are cheap enough to buy and I'm pretty much through my fiddling and tinkering stage and just want something that works.

When I started I had a 901 and their cartos were absolutely terrible. Lasted 2 days if I was lucky. I got the 510 kit a few weeks later and got boge standard res cartos and so far they've lasted me 2 weeks. I use pretty thin juices so I've even been able to clean them out with just water and let them dry for a day to change flavors.

I am a heavy vaper, also, and one carto lasts me around 3-4 days. I use about a 2/3 mixture of a dark juice with a light juice. I love the easy draw and the initial snap, crackle, pop of a new carto, but am usually sucking pretty hard by the fourth day. That's when I chuck it. I've been using Joye 510 cartos with my regular ole 650mah eGo for about eight months, and like them OK. However, I'd love to find a carto that would sustain the nice "snap, crackle, pop" for at least four days. Boges didn't cut it for me. Haven't tried dual coils yet, because I still have so many of my 510 cartos left.

In a nutshell, I think the whole matter is dependent on how you vape and what satisfies you. A friend of mine uses the very same set up I do (except she uses light juices exclusively) and her cartos last nearly an entire month. However, she is a light vaper, and she puts her PV down for an hour or so at a time. My PV is permanently attached to my hand. Big difference, I think.

you have a link for syringe mod demonstration/explanation?
