How Long for EM Crystals to Dissolve in PG?

I thought I was buying EM dissolved in PG. But, I guess I wasn't. I discovered this right in the middle of mixing up an experiment.

So, I searched the DIY section and found the right mixture - a quarter teaspoon crystals to 10ml PG. I just mixed it up a few minutes ago.

How long does it take for the crystals to dissolve enough to use so I can finish my experiment?

Not long if you microwave some water for about 1 minute, then put the bottle containing your EM mixture in it. Do some shaking, put it back in the water, repeat until it's dissolved. Good to go.

I did a test to find out how long EM crystals take to dissolve in room temperature PG shaking it 3 times a day. It took 2 full days for the crystals to dissolve. I will definitely use the warming method (and shaking more often) next time

I just put about 3/5 crushed crystals (I crushed my last ones inside the bag using the handle end of a screwdriver) and then 2/5 PG. I then ran the sink water on hot for about 2 minutes until it was hot. filled a cup with the water and set the bottle with crystals/pg inside it... After about 20 seconds, almost all the crystals were gone.

Its best to leave a little bit of room in the bottle to"shake" it... then set back in the water. Was super easy.

3/5 crystals and 2/5 PG? I thought it was 1/4 tsp crystals in 10 ml PG! Did I do it wrong?

Im sure there are many ways of doing it. Depends on the strength youre trying to make your menthol juice. 1/4 tsp seems almost so little you wouldnt even notice. Im pretty new to DIY so I dont know the "best" way to do it.. but the way I did it worked out pretty well. Ive read a lot of people saying do about 1/2 crystals 1/2 PG.. but again, I believe it depends on what your end goal is.

No, you did it correctly. 1/4 teaspoon per 10ml of PG is the correct ratio.

ok...just successfully did this 1/4 tsp EM to 10ml PG thing. Good thing I have patience.

• Day 1. Measured 1/4 tsp EM, and 10ml PG into a clean 10ml bottle. Shake vigorously. Watch snow-globe effect. Read emails, ECF posts, etc., doing the shake thing between each one. Notice this stuff not dissolving readily
• Day 2. Shake again, emails, shake, ECF, shake. Still seeing snow-globe effect, but much less 'snow'
• Day 3. Shake again. The snow has been melting, but there is still enough to easily see on the bottom of the bottle
• Day 4. Shake again. Maybe 20-30 crystals still on the bottom.
• Day 5. Don't see any more crystals. Shook it vigorously, and still see no crystals.

If I was in hurry, I would have used the warming method. But staring into this tiny snow globe was rather relaxing.

Takes me 11 seconds to dissolve in pg . mix 1/4tsp in 10ml pg . Put in microwave in glass dropper bottle for 10 seconds . Shake and its fully dissolved.
