I'm putting 4ml in and it's so painfully slow, it keeps backing up and I have to let it drain into the tank. I'm filling from the bottom obviously.
So... not to put too fine a point on it, but stop doing that.

1. Cover the air vent hole. (This prevents juice flow into the atomizer chamber by creating sufficient positive pressure to repel it's flow threw small orifices)
2. Remove top cap and fill from top, to top of tank section. (do not over fill)
3. Install top cap 1 to 2 turns... sufficient to engage the chimney seal o-ring. (Too far, and you may force juice into the atomizer chamber)
4. Invert Atomizer. (Inverted, the pressure of installing the cap the remainder of the way cannot force juice into the chamber as the fluid level is below it)
5. Uncover air vent hole. (Now, air pressure, with the fluid "in between" the pressure differential can force excess air pressure out the vent - not juice)
6. Complete tightening of top cap.
7. Return atomizer to the functional position. (Done correctly, now there is a vacuum above the juice (created when the atomizer was returned to the upright position and the juice flowed to the bottom) and positive or atmospheric pressure in the atomizing chamber - a "pressure boundary")

The 4-7 parts are all done in one relatively smooth motion. If it leaks (and this is most obvious with Lite+/R91% atomizers - not so much with collector tank versions), with the vent hole covered, take several draws, lifting your finger near the very end of each draw... this will serve to create a vacuum in the juice tank.
Note: This same series of events should occur when filling a Kayfun atomizer from a bottom or even side fill screw - but too many users "seal" the hole when filling, both over filling the tank so that there is an insufficient negative air chamber, and not allowing pressure to escape - the result is, too often, no vacuum in the tank.

Before I do that, I am concerned. Filling from the bottom cost me a bunch of juice. It drained so slow. But I put a paper towel under it and ALL the juice was pouring out through the center chamber out by the drip tip. I do not want to fill it again until I figure out why.

Perhaps the rest will offer some clarity. ;-)

.......mit, I just realized it. I'm not screwing the evaporation chamber into the base of the it. How do I do this with the cotton?

Take a look of one of pbusardo's vids with the KF.

You should assemble your whole atty first, i'd recommend putting some juice into your wick before assembling the whole thing. Then fill it up, i use cotton so i put enough juice on the wick before assembly just to be sure not to burn the cotton :)

i hate when people say this....

unless you cover the vent hole AND the drip tip
YOU ARE NOT PREVENTING ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by leaving the drip tip free for air to travel, you are practically forcing the air/juice out the drip tip end.

when filling from the bottom(proper way)

you have to make sure that most or all the juice is away from the base, and when you fill, that the juice is flowing away from the grooves that feed the juice the atty.

if you try to fill it while there is still some juice in the tank, there will always be a bit of dribble out the drip tip.
that is just the air pushing out whatever was in the atty chamber.

using a needle tip, lets air escape through the fill hole, preventing all the mess.

As for filling from the bottom... I do this with my Russian 91%, KFL+, and FT KFL+. I use a 50/50 mix of PG/VG so it's quite thick. I got a 2 oz plastic squeeze bottle with a Leur Lock top to which I attach a 14 ga needle. Insert needle and gently squeeze. It fills the tank quite quickly. I had been using a ready made needle top plastic bottle, but it was a real hard squeeze to fill the tanks. The 14 ga needle makes all the difference.

I fill from the bottom, using a needle tip bottle or a syringe with a needle. It does take a little longer than filling a protank or similar, but it works well with no leaking.

Um, when you blow to clear air out of the air vent be sure to blow on the air vent, not the drip tip (with the Kayfun upside down). If you are trying to clear it out by blowing into the drip tip (right side up) you are just forcing more liquid into the air vent and you can lose a lot.

air pressure is air pressure, doesn't matter what end you use.

You can blow or suck from either end... you would always get a bit of leakage .... GIGGITY!

If you blow from the drip tip, all the juice is at the bottom with access to the feeder slots. If you blow from the bottom the juice is up in the top. It's got no way out.

This is assuming your top o-ring is in the right place and sealing. Air is going to go out either way (through the drip tip or the air vent) it's just a matter of if it's going to take juice with it.

honestly, the only successful way i have found was to vape through it....if not completely flooded.
or
empty the tank, vape out the atty, and start fresh.

i have a 3.1 ES and i dont have the proper bottle tip to fill it.... yet.
SO i fill using the top method.
i have yet to loose any juice to a napkin.... :2cool:
