How often do you take apart and clean your kayfun?

My EHpro kayfun lite clone is pretty new. So far, I've only put about 3-4ml through it, and I've only built 4 coils for it (the first two werent that great, the third and fourth MUCH better...still practicing.

After I rebuilt the 4th coil, the taste wasn't that good - but I'm pretty sure it was from the old e-liquid in there. I'm cleaning it as I type this.

How often do you guys take apart and clean your kayfun? Everytime you replace the wick?

Also, do you save the e-liquid in it, and put the same e-liquid back in once you clean it, rebuild it? Or do you toss the lest over eliquid?

Im only a week in with my first kayfun lite(clone) but my setup working great so far.

Clear liquids, I could probably get 4 tanks full.

Dark liquids, swap the cotton and clean coil every tank.

Clean inside(when home) probably every 2 tanks depending on liquid.

not that I recommend what I do for others but this is what I do: clean once a week, toss old juice - usually not much anyway, inspect/fire and clean coil or replace coil, replace wick - three drops prime clean/new coil and wick.

What type of wick do you use and how long it last.

Im using organic cotton and dark juice destroys them.

Exactly what donwuan said, it all depends on the "gunkability" of the liquid.

I generally clean my Kayfuns everytime I rewick and coil them.

I know it's time when the flavor becomes noticeably diminished, signifying that my coil is clogged with gunk. Then I take it apart for a dry burn and re-wick, and rinse the rest out with hot water.

Everyone's vaping habits are different, but for me, I'd say it's about once a week.

I rewick each tank.. so all the time.. it helps to have more than one.

I also mainly use nano and m tanks, so they seem easier to clean. I don't clean it if same liquid is going back in it.. maybe the chimney and evaporation chamber if there's burnt liquid in it.

I keep the liquid in a syringe if it's not filled with darker liquid from coil.

Im very new to the kayfun but without experience, it literally takes me maybe 1 1/2 minutes to rinse and rewick the kayfun.

Another 30 to dry burn.

I almost solely use Kayfuns and Kayfun clones, and I find that I'm getting quite a long time on each wick. Coils can last months if dry burned/restored whenever you rewick.

A lot of my juices crack tanks so I vape (with the steel center section) it until there are only drops of juice left and only bother cleaning if I'm putting in a different flavor. 3-4 tanks is what I usually get before rewicking, however I keep forgetting to rewick this 3.1 I'm vaping now and its still fresh and full of flavor and probably around the 6-7 tank mark.

I vape until it's empty before I take it apart. I'm doing about 16 ml before I change the wick and clean.

Clean it? Are you suppose to do it? Of course I re-wick about once a week with cotton and dry burn the coil between wick changes. I've had mine for a couple weeks and probably run about 4 ml through it a day but other than its original cleaning I haven't done that yet. It's basically a closed system so I haven't felt the need.

I might rinse mine out after every 4 or 5 tanks, rinse the wick and coil, dry them off and dry burn if it's starting to taste "not quite right". I use silica wick, so it cleans up pretty quick and I can get it mostly dry on a paper towel. I will usually vape until the tank is almost empty, so no need to worry about the liquid.

I use four Kayfuns everyday with different flavors in each. I only service them when the coil and wick starts to give an "off" tasting vape or when I want to change flavors.
When I take them apart, I rinse the parts, remove old cotton wick, dry burn coil and rewick. I dry the parts and put it back together. If I am changing flavors I will wash the parts with a little Dawn.
If there is juice in the tank I want to reuse, I pull it out with a syringe.

When I rewick I put all the parts in a glass of really hot water. I dry them as I reassemble.

Every couple of tanks, but my go-to is a gunky juice. Any time I am rewicking, I go ahead and give everything a good rinse since it is easy.

I usually get around 4 tank fulls before it's time to rewick. I pull old wick, rinse all parts under tap using hottest water my fingers can stand. Then dry burn and rewick/cotton.
