I know, dumb question. I thought I would be able to use it my Kgo right out of the box. I actually got one good hit, and then the battery flickered blue, showing it was out. I charged it for 5 minutes, and it showed green, fully charged. As soon as I tried to use it, it flickered blue again :(

Do I need to charge the Kgo overnight before it is fully charged?
Thanks for your much appreciated answer!
Sandy

In general (for others - I don't think this applies to kgo except maybe the liquid in the connection area part)

If an ecig has a short safety cutoff and you drag or activate it long enough to reach the limit, the battery will flash and some will also disable themselves for 5 to 60 seconds to enforce a timeout. Some ecigs have a very short cutoff (only allow short drags) like some allow a 5 second drag. Some I use (Vapor4Life) have a very long custom 10-13 second cutoff.

If an ecig has liquid between the carto or atty and the battery threads, it will short and cause the flashing and may enforce a timeout.

If you bought automatic batteries or any battery with an open hole into the inside, then juice leaks can get in there and cause internal shorts or makes the drag switch sticky so it stays on for a while after you finish dragging (which can cause you to get a timeout) and at worst will kill the battery.

---

Kgo - I don't know what the Kgo light is supposed to do. The light on the battery changes color according to charge? never heard of that. But if it's doing something odd take a tissue, fold into a soft point, and make sure there is no liquid in the valley between the battery post and the threaded collar.

hi i have the kgo love it too, the manufacture recommend way to charge the kgo batteries is charge it 8hrs (even if the light turns green) and then use it for 20 mins and then allow it to charge for another 1 hrs and then after you first initial charge you should charge your batteries for 3hr even if the light turns green as per the manufactures instructions

and the light for the kgo blinks like that when its dead and needs to be charged

hope this helps and welcome to the forum :)

Starlight, thanks! I called Brent at hoosier, and he said that too. He was GREAT, by the way.

Swedishfish, Ya, my daughter is just being a creep about it. I smoked outside, so she is used to it not being in the house.

I'm sorry to hear that Sandy. Maybe she'll come around.

yes Brent is great he was so helpful for me as well i even had a USPS problem(they ripped the bag open and stuff was missing from my order) and Brent replaced it no problem he's a great guy to deal with and he has good prices too :), good luck with your kgo and I'm sure you'll love it
and i hope your daughter comes around once she realize that you don't smell anything and if you do it the smell of the flavor your vaping not the smell of burning cigs, just explain to her that your vaping and it is a nicotine juice and there is no tobacco involved at all, nothing that is burning there for no second hand smoke just water vapor
once i explain to people it water vapor like from a teapot when it's ready they seem to understand more
