How low should I let a Triton tank get before I refill?

So I just got my Triton starter kit today, an upgrade from the G6! To say the least, I am NOT disappointed with the flavor or vapor production AT ALL!!!!! Take seems so much purer and the vapor is much more voluminous! However, I did notice that it uses a lot more E-juice than my G6, not too much of a problem though.

So I just wanted to know how low I should let my juice level get before I refill it. Should I wait till it gets to almost empty? should I refill half way? This question is mainly in regards to coil life spam. My concern is that as the juice gets lower in the tank, less of the wick is getting saturated, and therefore leading to unnecessary burning of the wicks.

when the juice gets low, give it a good swirl every once in a while to maximize the usage. depending on how fast you can go through a tank, you may consider cleaning it in between refills.

it takes me aboot a week/tank, so aboot once a week imma cleaning with PGA and denture tablets and an incredibly intelligent mouse that likes flowers.

I look to top off the tank when it reaches the half way point, any lower than this, and the wicks dont keep up with my demand if i have a bout of chain vaping.

BUT!!!!! Before you top off the tank, compare the juices color in the tank and what you are about to put in. You can notice what is in the tank is getting darker. Now the next part depends on your taste and which juice (because some juices burn/gunk slower than others), but at some point you will get to what is in the tank is no longer that great, and really does not deserved to be topped off by some good quality juice fresh from the bottle. Changing out the tank and cleaning the coil/wick/tank before things get too gunked up also gives you a better chance at being able to clean the wick enough to reuse it.

As I say, everyone is different, but from my own experience;

Belgian Cocoa = 1 full tank no top offs (about 2.4ml of juice), then complete cleaning .... (unless you want to top off with Sub-Zero once {something I enjoy})
Voodoo = 1 full tank, then 2 top offs (about 5ml of juice), then complete cleaning
Kringles Curse = 1 full tank, 5 or 6 top offs (about 9 to 10 ml of juice), then complete cleaning

so far Tribeca, Kringles Curse and Mystic are my Fav flavors from Halo, I guess I am lucky that they are all semi light in color, the Tribeca is yellowish, but its not like BC or voodoo. I should be getting some Virgin Vapor E-Juice soon, looking forward to seeing what they vape like, good to know how color can effect life span and that I should consider cleaning more often based on color.

How about letting your E-juice sit in the clearomizer? I have 4 tanks filled right now and also use my G6 while I am away at work or out and about. so does leaving juice in the tanks have any negative effects on the wicks?

BTW, Triton is such a better vaping tool that the G6! Really pleased with the production in all levels from it over my G6!

Woohoo! Yes it is! When you asked about topping tanks or cleaning/refilling, are you asking about the mini tank or regular triton tank? I'm assuming you meant the reg Triton tank. As others pointed out, it really depends on the jooz you're vaping and how much you vape. Darker thicker ones, you can get away topping off if it's getting low (like 1/4-1/2 left) maybe once or twice without it getting too gunked.

Lighter vapes, you can top more. Although, Prime I find if the tank is below 1/2, it starts to taste slightly burnt (but I use a VV, so I just lower volts) or top it off. I can refill a tank of Prime many times w/out having to clean.

You will get your own "groove" once you play with it for awhile (ok...this sounded a bit naughty ) b

It just seems that the darker colored ones, seem to gunk up more. It isnt a 100% rule, but it does serve as a nice rule of thumb.

The only negative about letting a tank sit, filled for awhile that I have noticed, is the same negative as letting juice sit undisturbed in a bottle for awhile. It might start to settle and separate a tiny bit. So do the same thing you do with bottles just before you use them, shake that tank up a bit. Most of us find we like to twirl our Tritons a bit between vapes anyways.

BTW.... when your tank is getting empty and you are no longer going to top it off... it is very important to keep twirling and even tilting the tank upside a bit between vapes. Cause it seems that at 1/4 full or lower, the wicks just dont wick up juice fast enough to keep the coil happy, if you are chain vaping.

So I should not vape my tank to below 1/4.....thxns to your input, but that means that after a few refills, the remaining Juice will have to be chucked, correct, probably not a good idea to put it back into the containers that it came from

You can go lower than that if it tastes fine. I refill if it hits 1/4 or below and starts to taste off. If it still tastes fine, no burnt hits and what have you, I will vape till it's nearly dry.

I constantly twirl my Triton and also store them laying flat so the wicks always have jooz pooled around it. When you top them off, I suggested to twirl the Triton a lot to kinda "mix" the jooz up. Almost tilting it upside down.

And no, you don't want to pour old juice in the bottle it came from.

I prefer clearer ejuice myself. I vape mystic all day. You're in luck- these menthols practically never require cleaning. The juice in the tank won't change a darker color. I put close to 100ml through my dedicated mystic tank, and pulled the wicks to check and there was only a tiny small brown spot which did not effect flavor.

Some of the medium clears like Tribeca and Southern Classic are deceiving and need regular maintenance as if they were darker. They both taste great but the flavor will dissipate/become burnt before you know it.

You can leave the ejuice in the tanks and cartos no problem. It will stay wicked.

Well that depends on you.... I take it down to the last 1/10th of the tank or so before chucking it, depending on the taste, sometimes sooner, if it just starts to have a burnt taste to it..... Also once again depending on which flavor of juice we are talkign about too.

and yeah NEVER pour back gunked juice into "clean" juice. Just cause I am a cheap ...... I did try saving the gunked juice from a 30ml of Belgian Cocoa, in its own bottle and then mixing it with a bit of Sub-Zero. It works... but I dont need to repeat the experiment, I just am not that cheap :D

cuz my mixed juices tasted like wet socks

Angie... Angie.... AngiBe.....

I think that really depends on who's socks and what their wetness taste like......

Wheezal's wetness in wool socks........ OR Diva's squirty wetness in egyptian cotton socks?

I am guessing one of these choices might be vape-able.
