How many have gotten a mouthful of perfume?

I hate it when you order an ejuice that is described as "smokey, nutty or coco like" only to get a mouthful of perfume. A couple I have ordered taste like my wife sprayed CK One in my mouth. That really honks me off. It's a good thing I usually start with a 5 or 10ml bottle. How many of you have had juice like that? Just wondering? Thanks all.

I sure have. Put that bottle in the pantry, keep the weevils away, vape something else for a week then try it again. You might be surprised how much it improves. If not, put it back for another week. When I first tried Halo Torque 56, it was like after shave. A week later it was good. Two weeks later, it was awesome.

How much nicotine are you using and what is the PG/VG of your juices?

If it's high nic you might taste the nic

If overly flavored then some flavoring can get flowery until you air it a bit

Sometimes flavors need to steep especially freshly blended flavors

And you need to smell the vapor - don't expect the mouth flavor to convey what it is. Foods don't work that way either. You tongue can only taste sweet, salty, bitter, sour and umami (MSG). Everything other than that is visual, texture and aroma, and of those vapor only has aroma.

Thanks for the feedback everybody. I do let my juice steep for a minimum of two weeks (I learned you need to do that, real fast) but some never seem to ease off the bad taste. Doing some research I have found that a great deal of what goes into (some) e-juice is actual perfume base. I googled up some chemicals that were in listed the juice and found they are commonly used in the perfume industry.

That perfume-y taste *seems* to be inherent with a lot of the Flavourart bases, I've found. I avoid it like the plague. =)
