I've been vaping for a few months now. I started with a My7s then upgraded to an evo 1100 mah generic pass through with an iclear 16. I used that setup for a couple of months, trying different flavored juices, and enjoyed it. I have since switched to using a Vision Spinner 1300 mah VV battery with an EVOD clearomizer when at work or out and about, switching to an iclear30s clearomizer when I'm at the house. I also tried the ego-c 650 mah mini battery for a very short time. I'm just curious to hear about how everyone got into vaping and where they are now. What setups did you try, are currently trying and which one do you prefer.

I started with an Innokin SVD and iClear30, the first version, and it was a complete disapointment. Even so, I didn't smoke a cigar, but thought "probably there's something better for me out there". So I got a Protank... what a difference, day and night. Sure it was colder, but flavour and vapor was better. The coils on the iClears were very badly made, I took them off...man, they don't know how to wrap a coil.

I then moved on to the Protank2, better draw, all the rest pretty much the same. I still found a little lack of flavour, so I kept on searching until I found a Kayfun in other forum's classifieds. What a hell of a difference. Easy peasy to coil up, first coil first success. Never went back to the Protank. I also tried a genny, the Steamboy, but too much hassle, I'm not that much into gennies.

Since then, I've moved on to mech mods, first a Nzonic IV which I sold (though it was a great mod, just a tad biggie, sold it when I found black version was coming), then Nemesis (real one), russians (kayfun clones) both the first and the 91, nimbus...And that one was, yet again, a game changer for me. Found so much flavour, I sold it in a week, and bought a REO straight away. This is as close to perfect vape as I can think IMHO.

Everyone prefers one or other atty, or setup. It takes time to find the "OMG" vape, but once it's reached...which requires money, study some things carefully and, lets say it, guts to make the move to RBA...well. Then you find vaping is nothing like smoking, you can actually enjoy it A LOT.

Started with the Volcano Inferno line, at the time it was fine, but looking back now I wouldn't recommend it to anyone starting out. The kit was something like $75 which included a 650 mah and a 900 mah battery (proprietary; no external threading for a plinth cover) plastic tank, plastic end caps and a plastic drip tip.

Wasn't until I used an ego battery w/ an iclear16 that I really noticed the difference in quality & vapor production for just a fraction of the price. (under $30)

Started getting more into this once I was completely off the analogs, then started googling "e-cigarette store" to see what else was available. Long story short, started buying all sorts of tanks, ego batteries and e-juices from dozens of vendors. Shortly after, took the step up to a bigger mod once I found the "perfect" ejuice line and decided on the innokin MVP2 that came with the iclear30, then joined the forum here around the same time. I got LOTS of GREAT advice from everyone on how to use the device as well as info on all sorts of other things.

I'm currently stepping up slowing into the realm of re-buildables now, and now eyeballing a Provari-mini PV, so looks like I'm one of the many getting obsessed with this hobby ;)

Looking back at all the items I purchased, very satisfied with everything to date except for the Volcano e-cigs. Each product has its little quirk, but find it enjoyable tuning and tweaking things to my preference. I still use the original 650 mah ego-c upgrade battery with the iclear16 on a daily basis, and enjoy my larger mod and tanks when at home. Welcome to the world of Vaping, have fun and stay off the stinkies!

To many to list but after evolving from Ego twists/protanks I wasted some money on FT clones and then graduated to quality mods and Kayfuns with a few cartotanks and drippers. Not trying to knock clones without them I would probably have never realized I would benefit so much from Mods. I have still spent less than my cigars would have cost me in the same time and I am loving every minute.

I started with a safersmoker brand cigalike. I could have the name wrong. It sucked and I never really quit smoking. I gave that up almost four years ago and then my brother comes into town with an ego c-twist and tells me he hasn't smoked in 6 months. I bought an ego T that day. Broke it two weeks later and I bought an Ego-T Upgrade which is a decent little ego but it's not really VV like it is advertised. So then I bought an Itaste vv 3.0 that same day on the internet. After I figured the thing out I love it. Then I was on the classifieds here and a fellow was selling a set of 4 vision spinners and 2 ego twists for a really good price. I thought well there is my backups for my backups. I bought those and I have to say I like the visions better than the itase except there is no ohm meter on them. I am building coils so I have to check them. So I currently have 8 different units 6 of which I use and I am looking at a mech for future.

I went through an Elego Twist, Smoktech SID, Innokin MVP 2, Innokin SVD, Vamo V5, Kamry 101 and have settled on REO'S with the RM2 as my best vape so far. Just purchased a Provari mini off the classies today. Have some Protank II's, Puritanks, Davide Mini's, Aspires and Hypertanks that I plan to try on it.

I've since sold my MVP2 and SVD, my BF is getting my SID, and plan to sell my Vamo, and keep just REO's, the K101, and the Provari at this point.

Started with an eGo-T and a Vision clearo, then moved up to a Zmax V5 and Protank 2, then started getting into RBAs and have not looked back since. I still carry the Zmax around with me if I'm going on long trips and don't have my tools. My problem is that I love shiny stuff, and the shiny stuff usually makes my wallet cry. I am pretty happy with what I have though, but as vaping technology and design progresses, I will be constantly trying new things. AFAIK, there is no such thing as a "perfect vape". It only gets better.

About a year ago i ventured into a local vape shop and bought a Ego battery with a bog standard ego clearo and then upgraded to a larger battery usb charge so as could smoke and be sat at computer, about a month ago i purchased a Vamo v5 with Kanger Unitank now with Vivi and last week a UDT-v9 w/kick 2 and a x6 tank currently using both Vamo for home and UDT-v9 when out.

AFAIK, there is no such thing as a "perfect vape". It only gets better.

Oh so true.

Ego c with Iclear 16, switched tanks to evods was happier, oh shinnies bought a vv3 while ogling an SVD or provari, oh 39.99 mvp3 bought that, I added pro tanks and carto tank in there somewhere.

I think I am almost there, I know I will be once I finally click the buy provari button. At least that is what I am telling myself.

Very different routes all the way around. I actually was a dipper, using up to 3 cans a day. I am extremely pleased with the Vision Spinner. I have purchased all of my "toys" from a local store that I truly love. They are very knowledgeable and they actually use the products that they sell. I am sure that with my OCD and type A personality I will try a variety of options, but as of right now I am thoroughly enjoying the Vision Spinner. I have found out that its not necessarily the battery that makes the difference, but what type of delivery system you are using. (the power of the battery certainly matters, I am just i implying that the resistance and quality of atomizer has so far determined the quality of vape produced).

"Not necessarily the battery" is very true. Without a good delivery system on top an XXX super advanced mod might as well be a cig-a-like. I was very happy with my eGo Twist, using carto tanks and dripping, for the first 6 months I vaped.

I started with an E9 and a t-rex quicky moved to a misty wetbox and a bigkazoo then to Reo's. I used only Reos with mostly LR atomizers for the rest of my first year. Bought a provari and a few carto tanks for my 1 year smoke free and then I bought a few more provaris and pretty much used only carto tanks for a long time. I pick up a few VV Reos when they came out and got a few RDA to go on top. then got into Genesis and loved them but discovered that I couldn't take my gennys out of the house so used vivi novas for out and about then protanks when they came out. then I started getting into mechs and and silica wick tanks which i was so happy to find out they didn't leak so I could ditch my protanks Yay! and that pretty much where I'm at now mechs, provaris and a boggers DNA20 with some kind of rebuildable on top. I swear smoking was never this much fun :D
