1 Vision Spinner or 2 Non-VV Ego Style Batteries to start with?

Ok guys and gals, I'm a non-smoker who is looking to try vaping 0 nic juices. I'm not wanting to put much money into this until I know if I like vaping or not.

So my thoughts are getting a 650 or 900 mah (maybe 1100?) Vision Spinner or getting a Kanger eVod kit that has 2-650 mah ego style batteries. I had been pretty set on the eVod Kit but after a little more reading it seems everyone loves their VV batteries.

Since I'm not a smoker so I figure 1 battery could work for now as I wouldn't have a 'Nicotine Emergency' if the one died on me. I don't want something as large as the 1300 mah Spinner. I think both options would cost about the same.

Thanks for the input! ~0Nic~

my thought is, if you are looking for something to bring out flavor I would suggest a variable voltage battery. Having two batteries is pretty much a must for those of us who are former smokers. there are smaller vision spinners than the 1300. There are also 900's and 600's so you do have options :D If you don't mind spending a little more but want to keep it small, there is the Itaste VV v3 which is a variable voltage and a variable wattage which I have been suggested by several members here to try.

I'd go with the VV eGo battery. If it dies (drained or fried) you're not going to be freaking out for a nic-fix. There are also eGo Twists, and Smok Winders that are the same concept, but by different companies. 1300mah is just the biggest one, you can always go smaller. The VV ability gives you some customization to how a liquid vapes. It's also a dead-simple version of VV, just turn the dial on the bottom.

Thanks for all the replies! I think I will get the Vision Spinner. There's a b&m store near by that I haven't been into that I think I'll check out. Their fb page says they have Spinners. Hopefully they have a variety of sizes for me to see the difference. I'll probably get a few eVod Clearomizers to go with it. :vapor:

Thank you all for the recommendations!

I would suggest grabbing a protank II or a protank II mini to use with tank cracking flavors. My brother is also a flavor vaper, except when he's drinking, then he uses Nic-liquid. Ha had an evod break on him from a juice that I could have told him was bad for plastic.

Second this recommendation for a glass tank to use with tank cracking liquids.

I have a spinner and the 2.2 or 2.5 ohms coils are fine on my Evods. I vape in the 3.8 to 4.6 volts range with most of my juices. Figure add 2 to the ohms of the head and dial up or down from there. If you taste burnt, dial it down. The Evod and Protank heads are interchangeable so that is a good call. My 1300mah spinner last me a good 10 hours of heavy vaping so if they have a lower mah spinner you might be good with that. Rinse the Evod or Protank out good before use. Make sure you get extra heads.

You should be good to go. Enjoy!

pufZeppelin - Yea I had been looking at the VV eVod battery too. It looks sharp

Scarey - Ok I'll look into getting a mini protankII as well

Thanks! What ohm coils do you guys suggest for a VV battery? Or is it sort of just a trial and error?
I'm using 1.8 ohm coils in my PT 2's.....they work well with my eGo-C Twist 650's, running between ~3.3 - 3.8v.
Started with 2.2 ohms; running over 4+ volts gave me burnt taste with some flavors....
If your coil resistance goes TOO low, protection circuitry in the eGo batteries SHOULD kick in and shut down to prevent damage....but I NEVER ASSUME this protection will "just be there".....I stay above 1.5 ohms, and so far.....so good!!:D
Regardless of your battery choice.....BE SURE to have AT LEAST 2!!! Even one BIG one will need charging eventually.....and while that's happening, if it's your ONLY battery....you're SOL!!!:(
For my $$....the eGo-C Twist and Vision Spinner are tried and true..I have both and they perform very well!!!
Good Luck!
Happy (vaping) Trails!

My 2 cents get either the spinner or the Ego but get the VV so you can adjust the voltage to the flavor your are vaping and what you are using to vape with. The 650 and 900 mah are a good size to carry out and about and depending on how much you vape will last a good while. If it were me I 'd get the 900mah.
