I am using a lavatube, 50/50pg/vg liquid, I am using 2ohm cartos. I am still waiting for the 3 ohm cartos to come in. I have not yet gone above 5 volts, just not sure if a 2 ohm carto will handle it.
erm... on a lavatube, if u push it to 6 volt, the output will still be lesser than that as the 'protection circuit' will auto adjust the current output to the maximum allowed so no worries of shorting for that.
however , i would say somewhere 4.6-4.8v (estimated. didn't bother to use ohms calculator)
The problem isn't the resistor as much as the battery.
But most folks won't push a 2 ohm past 6 volts.
That's 3 amps for 6 volts. 2.5 amps for 5 volts.
The smaller the battery the less likely it can handle the higher amperage.
But the lavatube will be fine at either of these settings.
Yeah , the worst that can happen , is a popped carto . Not the end of the world , but 4.7 volts seems to be spot on , with a 2 ohm carto . At least to me .
I don't have one, I'm waiting for the Mini-Lavatube to come out, so I can't speak to the numbers. But the thread it comes from has some people who have done some actual testing.
