How much intake from Smoker to Vapor

I have bought my Joytech kit this summer and been vaporing once in a while. I find that I tend to vapor more than smoking. My fear is that I would intake more vapor nicotine then the cigarette that I presently smoke.

I tend to vapor more at my work when the urge comes to prevent me to go out, in this cold weather, and smoke a cigarette, but when it is time for end of shift I tend to light up in my car as an old habit.

At home I will vapor most of the time.

So from smoking 7 to 8 cigarette each day I have cut down to 3 to 4 plus my vapor.

What would be the “normal” consumption of vapor per cigarette smoked?

This would give me an idea of how much to inhale per the cigarette I inhale.

Thank you,

smok-ey

Hi and welcome :)

There is not really any correct way to say x # of puffs =x # of cigarettes. The average person converting from smoking to vaping seems to use between 3-5ml per day. It is a totally different deliver method and really the best anyone can do is kinda sorta guess.

It really varies based upon how you use it. There is a lot of information/research regarding how much nicotine is actually absorbed as well. Nothing totally definitive at all as of yet, but so far - it appears that the absorption is much less than with tobacco products. How much nicotine do we get from e-cigarettes? - ECF InfoZone

My answer is - I vape whatever it takes to not smoke *shrug*

Hope this helps at least a little!

The studies I have read show that we don't absorb the nicotine from vaping as much or as quickly as smoking. It also takes more experience with vaping to absorb even as much nicotine as a smoker--longer draws & better equipment. A new coil will hit harder than a used one and if it's cold outside--it doesn't seem to work for smoking or vaping because I can't breathe!

I don't worry about how much nicotine I'm getting unless/until I get dizzy, nauseous, ears ringing, headache--then I know it's time to put down the PV and go mix up some lower mg liquid. I am not saying anyone is right or wrong about worrying over nicotine amounts but I just don't understand the worry.

Could you measure the amount in your cigarette each time & how much was actually getting into your bloodstream? What about all the other stuff in cigarette smoke? Again, I'm not saying worrying about it is good, bad, right or wrong. I just don't understand why so many people worry about it.
