How much juice do you get through a coil?

Before you have to replace the coil-head/wicks?? How much juice can you run through your coil-head before you need to replace it?
.. It seems I'm only using about 7ml of juice in my Kanger T2 before I have to change the coil-head. I'll start getting less vapor, burnt flavor, a scratchy dry hit.

So I end up having to replace my coil-head after only about 3-4 days of use.. I thought this things were suppose to last from like 7 days to a month before having to change them?? I'll have to try out dry-burning..

Are you cleaning them between refills? I only use the T3's but I clean them before each refill.

Yes, I clean them about every 2 refills. But maybe the problem is that I do Not dry-burn, ever? I've never dry-burned. When I first got my setup, I was told to NEVER let the coils come in contact with water, as it could mess up the battery if I fire it when there's still water on it. But maybe I should try rinsing the coils, letting them dry, and dry-burning; when I clean my tank?

When I clean everything, I usually take the coil out, press as much juice out of the wicks that I can with a tissue or something. I'll take off the silicone cap and metal piece from the coil and try to clean it all good with a tissue. Than I thoroughly rinse the tank itself with water, and blow some water through the center tube a few times to clean it out. Than I'll dry off the tank completely before screwing the coil back on and re-filling.

It seemed I'm starting to get a lot less life out of my coils than I used too. I'm at the same wattage, on not vaping any more or less than before.
..... Also, now I'm hearing I should rinse the coils good and let them dry completely before I even use them, brand new?? I just put a new coil in and I'm still not getting the flavor I should out of my favorite juice, could this be the reason?? I cut tiny notches into the silicone cap to let more juice get to the wicks

Not true. If you "dry burn" a coil while it's really wet (water bridging coils of wire) you will get what is basically a short, and possibly fry a cheap battery like an ego. Water conducts electricity.

Not true... Water isn't as conductive as most people think. If you own a multimeter, fill a glass with water, set the meter to read ohms and insert the probes into the water about an inch apart. You'll see that the resistance is in the kilo-ohm range. Way too high to short your coils.

Dry burning is a must. Dont listen to the idiot that told you not to use water.

Even if you don't dry burn you should get more time out of each head. My ritual, without dry burning, is a vodka soak & shake until clear, followed by a hot water rinse and a thermometer shake. I do that about every 5 tankfulls.

Firing your coil to remove remaining water in 5 second bursts at lower voltage, say 3.5-3.7, is fine, and if vapor production is still low, time for a dry burn.

Dry burning is the way to get the gunk off the coil and will typically extend it's life. Just remove the silicone first. You will see your wick get visibly whiter as the junk left in the wick also burns off. Your can search out examples of it on youtube. Remember to re-rinse your coil after dry burning to remove burned off gunk and improve flavor.

Good luck getting better mileage out of those coils!

I clean and dry burn every 3 to 5 refills, and my heads have been going for almost 3 months. Another thing that will add mileage is putting them in alcohol or vodka once a week.

Guess I should get on dry-burning, so I'm not wasting wicks.. Does anybody have a link that shows the best way to do it? Thanks for all the replies!

..................Way to go !............I'd like to add that i only half fill my T3's and it stops the "backwash" from the wick that turns the fluid in the tank thick, dark, murky and makes it taste dull. I use two, alternately switching from menthol, cleanses my palate, to whatever other flavour i am using, and they last all day between them.

The coil itself causes a short circuit. That's how they work.
