I officially started "vaping" on Tuesday evening of this week. So far I've probably gone through about 10ml of liquid. Does that seem like a lot? I pretty much vape constantly while I'm at my computer working. When I'm done working (which can be anywhere from 5 to 7PM EST), I'll maybe vape a couple of more times before bed.

All tol, I've probably vaped for 10 hours each, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. That works out to about 3.3ml per day.

Just curious what others are doing.

I go through about 3-3.5 ml a day, sometimes more, rarely less. I was a heavy smoker, so it's not surprising that I'd be a heavy vaper.

One thing I have done is decreased the nicotine strength of what I'm vaping. For my first several days, I was vaping high nic solutions, and I think I actually increased my nicotine intake over my former smoking habit . . . and managed to get some pretty nasty headaches and sore throats.

Since I like to vape a lot, I've started vaping primarily low nic and no nic throughout the day, then occasionally spiking my cartridge with a medium or high nicotine solution when I feel like I need something more. This way I can vape a lot without fear of overdoing the nicotine.

Many people find out that after awhile, they're vaping a bit less. I know that first week, I was walking around with an e-cig in my mouth, vaping almost continuously. I have calmed down a bit.

I'd assume it's normal for new vapers to overdo it a bit. Being able to basically smoke, with a taste that isnt horrible, and without that little voice in the back of your head going "hahah, yer gonna die of cancer", and not having to go outside/hide under a rock to do it, etc..

I'd imagine after a week or two though the novelty will have worn off a bit and you'll be vaping a more normal amount per day, without the cig duct taped to your mouth.. I actually changed my first order from fierce strength down to high once I realised i'd probably be puffing my .... off for the first few days as i get used to it, and my second order was all light strength (though I ordered two 10ml bottles of fierce just in case i get any big nic cravings).

Finally, I'm above average at something!!

I think I'll cut back some once the novelty wears off a bit. It just tastes so much better than a regular cigarette I can't help but puff away!

I as a newbie here and am awaiting my first kit. This is so encouraging to hear. I have tried every devise known to mankind to get off of analogs for the last 25+ years without success. Can't wait to start vaping. :)

I was the same way. And I was very skeptical about the e-cig. When mine showed up, I connected the vaporizer to the battery, put on a pre-filled cart and took my first puff...so good, so damn good! I've actually cut it back a bit since my original post, but it's an effort. I'm also in a bit of a pickle because I'm in Chicago on business at the moment and one of my batteries crapped the bed. I can use it, but I have to take a puff then disconnect the atomizer because the battery won't shut off. Then I have to blow into the atomizer end of the battery to get it to shut off...seems the air flow switch is shot. Needless to say, that's my in room battery...what a pain in the .......I did order a USB passthrough which arrived before I left home, but that was a bust also, and has to go back to the supplier...and none of my spare parts have shown up yet. There is a supplier in Chicago and I've sent him an email to see if I can procure another device...I don't really care what type, as long as it works.

Can't you just blow into it lightly with the atomiser on?
