How much nicotine...

Hi all,

I'm new here and looking forward to getting away from analog cigarettes. I have a new 510 charged and ready to go.

My question is how much nicotine is in a regular cigarette? I'm trying to avoid overvaping and intend to cut down eventually. I have purchased a few different strengths and flavors to see what works for me, but I have no idea what to shoot for. I realize it will depend on the strength of the juice I am using, but I wanted to know what to compare it to analog wise.

Thanks in advance!

Nicotine Strength
There does not seem to be a clear pattern as to what strength nicotine you might need.
Some people find they need higher strength than they thought.
Some find that they need lower strength.

The general rule of thumb is get something maybe a bit higher if unsure.
You can always get some that is lower to cut it back with.

And you can keep some around for spiking to a higher strength if a bad craving hits you.

If you have too much nicotine, you may experience the following...
1) Some nausea
2) Headaches
3) Feeling lightheaded

If you are not getting enough nicotine, you may experience the following...
1) Dissatisfaction
2) Cravings for a cigarette

Everyone is different - so no one way will work. All depends on what you smoked, how you smoked, how you inhaled, how often etc. Seems to be much the same with e-cigs too. Lots of choices of nicotine levels per ml as well as flavor, not to mention pg or vg or combos of them. So it's going to take me a long time to figure out what works best for me. Of course I can spend a long time just trying to figure out what lighter I want to get...

Just a couple of ideas from another newbie. I got my 510 2 weeks ago and haven't had an analog since. That's after 45 years of smoking and never being able to slow down much less quit. What I found is that all atties are not created equal. I started with one that really worked well. I used it for a week before my pass-through arrived. I put my atty I was using on the pass-through and broke out a new atty for my battery. If I had started with that one I would never have been able to quit analogs. There was that much difference in performance. If one atty isn't performing well try another. The 2nd thought is that if you feel that you aren't getting enough satisfaction from vaping, then your battery may be weak. There is no need to let it go till the LED flashes when you first start vaping. If you feel the need to grab an analog then first try changing your battery. The extra jolt may be all you need.
