Am I the only one with this issue? I am going to check the net and see what I can come up with

There's no "standard" amount of water a person should drink even if they aren't vaping. The old 8 glasses a day thing is just an old wives tale no matter how much it get retold. Most people eating normally get plenty of water through foods and random drinks of water, coffee, tea, or sweet drinks.

A lot of people who vape find that it dries out their throat or sinuses, though. This isn't the same thing as true dehydration - it's usually more local. You should sip enough water (or whatever) to relieve a dry mouth or throat. How much? As much as it takes. It varies from person to person.

Don't worry too much about it. ;)

Ok I found some info. Actually I found lots of info, lol and most had a difference of opinion. The best and easiest I found was to go by your weight. Take your weight and divide it by 2 and that is how many oz of water u should drink a day.

Ex 200lb man \ 2 would be 100 oz of water a day

Or another site said approx 2 liters a day.

The biggest thing a saw was that if u are thirsty u are already dehydrated. The body has already depleted its water storage. You are also supposed to drink a glass of water when u wake up as that is when there is the biggest buildup of toxins in the body. Sort of a way to flush them out to get your day going I suppose.

I learned just what I thought, I need more water!! I am going to try to drink the right amount of water for the next few days and see if I am still suffering from dry mouth. That way I will have a starting point to go up from.

I will report back my findings

Not trying to be gross, but looking at the colour of your pee is the best indication of how well hydrated your body is (unless you take a b vitamin supplement). The clearer the better lol

Pretty much. Thirst is no more an indication of dehydration than hunger is of starving. People should just drink enough water (or whatever) to be satisfied. We drink more doing manual labor in the summer and less flopping on the couch in the winter. If we just listen to our bodies, we'll get the message loud and clear. ;)

Ok so I have been drinking more water, but still not enough. I have added about 4, 16 oz water bottles full. I drink a half one when I get up, ( trying to make that a full one) and I keep one with me any time I am sitting and vaping on ecf, that usually takes 2 then I switch to only water after supper.

I know that's still not enough, but I also drink lots of pop during the day (u don't need to tell me that's bad, trust me my dentist already tells me all the time, and I have the crowns to prove it!!) but I make sure it's watered down and has lots of ice in it. I have also increased my fruit intake. I have been eating pineapple and mandarin oranges, so I hope that counts too.

But I know it's not enough yet, because I am still thirsty and my urine is not clear yet.

I will say the headaches that I was getting have eased up, and are not nearly as bad, and my skin is not as dry. Now then the problem here is going to be that it's getting hotter here and so I will be sweating more.

I will report back again when I double what I am drinking now. It can only get better, right?

I know that we need 8 x 8oz glasses of water as the norm, and every chemical introduced to our body adds to that. My rule of thumb is 8 x 8 oz, plus 8 oz for each cup of coffee, soft drink, and type of med I am on. I count vaping as a type of med, so I end up drinking about 3 to 3.5 litres of water a day. Any less and my neuro symptoms flare horribly and I can look forward to a couple of very unpleasant weeks off work.

Hmmm isn't 7 glasses a water a day a rough guideline to how much water one should take? Plus minus perhaps?
Interesting ...
I would speculate most don't even drink 2 glasses of water a day.
Coffee and flavored drinks (although they contain water) are NOT
substitutes for pure unpolluted water the body needs to be healthy.
Few really care and many will debate the subject. However, science
has already established the truth.

RANT
My elderly (control freak) father ... Drilled everyone in the family
and everyone he came in contact with for many years ... to drink
8 glasses of pure unpolluted water every day. He would provide tons
of documentation to support the need to drink 8 glasses of water
every day. It was impossible to have a conversation with him without
him asking "how many glasses of unpolluted water did you drink today?"

Several years ago ... He fell in love with taste of chocolate milk.
Since then ... He doesn't even want to hear about the need
to drink water every day.

So is distilled water what we are supposed to drink then? Spring water is no good?
Personal Choice

I only drink distilled water
Pure water ain't tap water, purified water, bottled water, or spring water.

Is distilled water the same as rain water?
It is distilled in the way that it's evaporated and then condensed again.
But usually rain water manages to pick up a bit of contaminants on its
way through the atmosphere, so it isn't as clean as industrially distilled water.

My drinking water and coffee tastes the same no matter where I travel.

Q: Whats really in the water that comes out of kitchen taps.
A: You don't really want to know
Q: What does the inside of water pipes look like running to kitchen taps.
A: You don't really want to know
Q: Doesn't the government insure that our tap water is pure and safe?
A: You trust "Big Brother" and the Nanny State ?
Q: Why doesn't distilled water have any taste?
A: No chemicals, additives, or waste products. Distilled water doesn't have a taste.
Q: Why is there such a Huge market for water purifying systems?
A: DA

Some may argue "distilled water" AKA pure Rain Water isn't good for you.
Do some Google searches and decide what is best for you.

I have one of those super duper water purifier water softeners and then I have this special 3 tube thing under my sink and it is supposedly what the astronauts use to clean their urine so they can recycle water. I had my water tested and it was 99.7 percent pure. Is that good enough or would I still need distilled?

Sort of weird that u brought it up really. When my mom was diagnosed with cancer they only wanted her to drink distilled.
Of course she wouldn't hear of it
