With Li-On batteries it doesn't matter when you decide to charge. And when it comes to concerns about low voltage with an APV it matters even less. If you ever drop so low that the MVP shuts itself off it's doing that because it monitors the battery voltage. It's not a dead battery at that point - it's not allowing the battery to drop below 3.2 volts when it shuts down.

I charge mine when it been on yellow for a while. Then I completely charge it takes a few hours give or take. Then it is good for 2 - 3 days. I got a Iclear 30s tank for it and love it. 1 thing I found about my MVP is that some tanks would not work on it do to the tank mount being too high. I took a file to the top and removed about .005" off of it.
