I'm eying the SVD, since it's less than half the price I can find here in the US. But, I've also seen some complaints about them taking a while to ship. Are we talking in weeks or months here?

I know I've gotten spoiled with the whole getting things in under a week, but I can also remember when things used to take 4-6 weeks for mail order.

Actually here lately i've been using them more an while it's not the same as ordering in US it's not that bad. They are good about warning you about delays. I have noticed that if you cancel part of an order the rest of it takes longer to process. i had one bad experience a while back because they under estimated the sales of a product so it got back ordered. Most time its not that bad. BUt if you want it in a week or less forget it.

Fastest I've received something from fasttech was 7 days from placing the order. Longest was about 6 weeks.

Overseas shipping is a bit of a gamble. In the past from random chinese vendors, I've gotten stuff in 4 days, and I've had stuff I got refunded on show up 5 months later.

Edit: Usually my packages are in and out of customs in a day or two. I have had things held up there for a month though.

I placed my first order from fasttech back on march 1st. I made sure every thing I ordered said shipped next day but after about 2 days many of my items said ships in 5-7 days. Then the items that said 5-7 days moved to some "restocking" listing. Finally on March 26 I receive an E-mail saying that my items have shipped. Great I go to the web site and see that it has shipped in 2 packages they added a photos and a tracking numbers for the USPA e packet thingy. Great I think?

Here it is April and I received 1 of the 2 shipments not to bad right since ti was coming from China NOPE. All I received was a empty envelope. It appears that some one along the way carefully opened up the top of the envelope removed the contents and then taped it back up. The second package has not had an tracking update since the first day it shipped so I can only assume that it has been lost or stolen also. I did read all the post calling it SlowTech and I thought "well its just isolated instances". Well I guess not in my case I will be referring to them as NOtech. I can only assume that it will be another 60 to 90 days before I see any resolution at all. The shipping label on the empty package I received was printed to have a insurance value on it for 50$ us to bad I spent over 150$ on that order.

Lesson learned only buy from the Quality vendors listed on the ECF postings, and the china post is joke. We sure do have it good here in the US and Canada.

Sorry I had to vent somewhere my dogs just look at me funny when I talk to them. This is the kinda stuff that gets under my skin and makes me want to light up an analog if I can find one or afford one HA.

All orders (30-40) for the past year, from date of order to my east coast USA door have been 12-25 calendar days...varies by which shipper I choose at checkout which will vary based on my order contents (ego batts, 18650 batts, clearomizers and mods etc)..once you learn how to order and split orders for items on back order aka restocking, and which shippers are most direct, orders come fairly quick..and ignore all trackers, they just post up outdated info..US Customs and USPS is half the wait..
