I'm going crazy here. 6x6mm tactile switch going through the side of a mint tin.
I tried jbweld - didn't hold, also got in the switch making it not clicky.
hot glue - not even close.
super glue - got in the switch, no more clicky.

I know there's probably a simple solution, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to attach it firmly enough to be pressed without ruining it.

hum...did you "rough up" the inside of the tin with sandpaper to allow a better bond?....I've used JBWeld and super glue gel on numerous mods (none of them were "tins") without issue. I only use the "weld or gel" on the sides of the switch and not on the back face of the switch so the "weld or gel" does not seep into the switch.

super's idea of mounting the switch on something and then glue that something to the tin may work.....

I wish I could edit the title of this thread. Before I start a new one, I guess I'm looking for a TINY (can't be more than 10mm diameter) short (the inside part can't be more than 10mm) switch that screws in with washers and such. I don't know the correct terminology to search for it (I'm trying, still learning). If you can point me in a few directions, I'll be able to search through distributors who don't charge a million $ to ship to Hawaii.
I'm willing to compensate with 95 6x6mm tactile switches for the help, ;)
