Hopefully posters can chime in with how to break-in attys properly.

Do you: Blow the primer out, if there is any, and dry burn? Start with unflavored juice? Start with pg based juice? Start on low voltages? Do you press and puff without inhaling?

I would specifically like to know how you break-in Joye 510 standard attys, but since I will be experimenting with different types, can you post any info on breaking in attys and what type of atty it is, ohm, thread, device used, and juice you use.

Also, approximately how long does it generally take you to get the atty fully broken-in?

I had the same question. I also got a Joye 510 standard atty to try dripping for the first time. I watched a bunch of videos about how to blow them out, did that and gave it a good 6 drops, even did the tilt and swirl thing and it still tasted like crud. I don't know if I'm just wimpy and I can't blow it out hard enough but no matter what I do it tastes like primer and it's just gross.

Is there anything you can do to prime them if you've got wimpy lungs and can't blow it out well enough?

What I have learned since starting this thread is after the blow out, I give a quick couple of dry burns, then 5-6 drops and I vape and puff with no inhale. I do that for the initial break-in. I break-in the atty with a flavor that is light in viscosity, and low on my list of likes. I start the voltage off low for the first day and incrementally boost it up .2 every hour or so until I get it up to where I want it and then by the next day you should be good. I don't vape (break-in) all day, more like I vape and puff until it needs a few more drops and I will do that session ( a session will be vaping until drops are needed) twice and hour for the first 24hrs+.

p.s. I start inhaling probably after 4 sessions.
