Here are pics of how to test the cartos from Smokeless Image. Sorry if the picture quality sucks. It was taking with my phone. Hope this helps you.

Step #1
Set the multimeter to the 200 Ω (ohms setting)

Step #2
Touch the read lead to the center post
Touch the black lead to the tip of the threading (being carefull not to let the leads touch or cross, otherwise you will get inaccurate reading)

Step #3
Take your reading. (I got 2.8 Ω in this test, which is what smokeless image advertises)

good post... I'm about try this now

Its showing my 3 ohm catro is at 4ohms

and its showing my LR carto at 2.8

Not sure what the exact ohms on the LR carto is supposed to be... it was just thrown in free with one of my orders

thanks tho man looking forward to the battery test pics.....

My test in the pictures was for a pre-filled carto from Smokeless Image. They fit the KR808 batteries. Also keep in mind that your multimeter could be +/- 0.1 or 0.2 depending on how accurate it is.

As you sort of alluded to in a later post, first you touch your negative and postive multimeter leads together and write down that value. Depending on the meter, it will be anything from .1 up to .4 or so. So, then when you measure your cartomizer, let the measurement settle down (kanthal or nichrome wire won't give an instantaneous result due to its properties). Then minus off the amount you wrote down to make up for your meter not totally zeroing out. I find Volt cartos come in at 2.5ohms + or - .3ohms variation.

It's probably not off, even cheap ones measure electricity properly. Ohms are the "resistance" of the current.

    Not so
You get into some pretty pricey digital multi meters before they have a zeroing function. (most analog meters have a zeroing function)
All test leads have resistance, and that resistance needs to be subtracted from the total ohm reading.
So first you measure the resistance of the test leads (mine are 0.4ohm), then you subtract that reading from your total reading of the carto/atty.
    Just like StelJan said.

And, ohms are resistance to the current, not of the current.

Looks like you got a nice vaping collection coming along. You should send me some of that juice, my cartos are almost dried up.
Sure what flavor you looking for :)
I think Im going to start making my own juice pretty soon.... seems easy enough

Something with a with a Turkish & domestic blend tobacoo flavor, and and hint of something sweet.

And then mabey somekind of espresso flavor. Not coffee, but espresso flavor. And if you could actually add a little caffine to the juice, to give me a little pick me up. That be yummy!:smokie:

I only got a 5 carto sampler when I ordered my first PV. And I vaped 'em all dry. Need something to fill them back up with.

You're right, I should of added that in the steps. My meter (according to the manual) is supposed to be +/- 0.1 accuracy in optimal conditions (like temp, humidity, ect..) It's a pretty basic meter, with no auto-ranging or zeroing function.
