Dish soap and water and paper towels also work well to clean mostly everything.
EDIT - sorry, I didn't see the OP's comment that it didn't work well. I haven't finished my morning coffee yet. I soak my stuff in hot soapy water for 10 minutes and it works well for me.
I'm not sure what the material used is for the M tanks on a kayfun, but if I need to clean it, I soak it in alcohol for 5-10 minutes. Never have had an issue.

I had an apple pie juice that etched mine before. Are you just having lingering taste? or is there a film on the tank? For lingering taste I soak mine in denture cleanser. If the tank is cloudy looking after cleansing then it sounds like the tank may be etched. No amount of cleaning with get rid of it. Hope this helps.
I believe that was a polycarbonate Kayfun nano tank that cracked. I have Makrolon ones that worked fine with that same juice for many tanks and months.
