So here is the think. I am in the USA and have a Marlboro Red in front of me. I cannot find any indication on the nic amount in them. I am originally from Germany and called a friend there. It says something like 0.9mg nic on the box of the cig pack?????

Long story short all I wanted to know is if someone could tell me which amount of nic (6mg,12mg,18mg,26mg,36mg) would be equal to the amount of nic in a Marlboro red?

You can't convert it directly because nobody knows for sure how much nicotine we are actually absorbing when we vape. We do know that when we smoke we are absorbing between 1mg-3mg per cigarette depending on the brand. Marlboro reds have about 1mg per cig. If you smoke a pack a day you are getting about 20mg per day of nicotine.

When we vape we absorb somewhere between 10%-40% of the nicotine we inhale. So If you use 24mg e-liquid (that's the average) and go through 3ml per day (that's also the average) then you get somewhere between 7.2mg-28.8mg -- nobody knows for sure exactly how much.

The best advice I can give is try a few different mg strengths... If you still crave cigs all day then use a higher mg, if you vape for a few minutes and feel dizzy or nauseous then lower your mg, if you vape and feel ok and forget to smoke then you probably found the right mg for you. Don't be too afraid of o.d.ing on nicotine because all it does is make you feel oogy, it's not that bad.

And don't be too afraid that you'll become even more addicted to nicotine if you get too much either because nicotine in this form is not actually all that addictive, it's only when combined with the MAOI's that you get from tobacco products that nicotine becomes extremely addictive. Vaping will actually make you less addicted - even if you end up using more nicotine.

Good luck!! :)

It's like comparing apple to oranges tho (kinda)...

there is no real way to gauge how much nic you get when you smoke a cig OR when you use a certain mg of e-juice. We all inhale differently ie: light puff, deep inhale, just in mouth & nose ,strength of cig or e-juice. All these factors change the amount you absorb. And they think we absorb different amounts from cigs, then we do from vaping .So you can't really compare one to the other.

So the best thing to do when ordering your first juices is order several different strengths.

So you can find the one or two that you like (feel best) to use.

rosa way out did me on that one info & time wise !!
that's what happens when ya get called afk & forget to hit save...

My wife and I both were smokers of Marlboro Light 100's for yrs and have now been tobacco free and vaping for 6 weeks now. We started with 24mg Red USA Mix which is very close to Marlboro Red, and this week have dropped down to 18mg of the same stuff. When not at work we do find we are vaping more than we used to smoke tobacco, but the health hazzards are way less when vaping as opposed to smoking tobacco. We were pack and a half a day smokers. Price and taste and vape production are excellent from what we are using from evcigarettes.com

Hope this helps..........Marc

Hi again all.
Got another batch of juice from evcigarettes.com and been vapin the High strength Chocolate Cream all VG now for a couple days. Very smoothe and a hint of chocolate. Very nice flavor and plenty of vape. If you're a chocolate lover you'll definitely like this one. Probably even more flavor in the 50/50 PG/VG, but this is pretty good. Thanks evcigarettes!!
